This book was excellent
I am not in the field of psychology,but I did buy this as a self help book.You need to stay focused and think about what the author is saying,but there is no psycho-babble. Clearly written by someone who knows a lot about her subject.When it becomes apparent how these beliefs/opinions came into your thinking,you begin to learn how to chip away at them on your own.You do not need to have taken any courses in psychology to get the maximum benefit from this book.In my opinion.

This book is a great tool to understand a lot about myself and is allowing me to help others overcome this strange curse called low self esteem. I really and truly hope the author gets the recognition she deserves for giving such a great contribution to today's society. Highly recommend it.

Help Yourself - Fast Start Program
This book gets to the basic points quickly and provides excellent examples. The easy-to-understand and use worksheets are also very helpful. It gently, yet firmly, guides one through the process of understanding the reasons behind low self esteem and the process to getting better. Great for any level of understanding of basic psychology.

I'm actually still working through this, but even 4 chapters in, I've learned so much. I'm already able to apply what I've learned and improve things.

great info but does not translate well
to a kindle. No matter how I turned my kindle, the tables and questions presented could not be read without a magnifying glass. So if you don't mind skipping those parts, it's a good read but I'm not sure I'd want to pay $8.35 again for info I can't read. And no, the info will not get bigger expanding one's fingers over the screen.

Own this book if you want to improve your self esteem and get a better mindset!
I was refered to this author by a therapist so I ordered this book right away.I can say this is a very thorough and very indepth self improving book.Especially for sufferers of low self esteem, the book has examples from other people, which gives you an insight to what lies in the mind of them and to give you a starting point to your own lifestyle, then you tackle your own 'rules for living' and your 'bottom line' and you will feel starstruck because you realise what you have been living by (your own rules) and your overall evaluation of yourself.This isn't just a self help book, melanie really delves in deep and gets to grip with your issues and in the end you rewrite your own rules and create a new bottom line and i can say I feel a lot better and more 'content' within myself now I have 'new rules' and a new 'bottom line'.You must get this book! You wont regret it.

The book is easy to read and useful.There are plenty of worksheet to sort out your self-esteem problems.You're worth it.

Low self-esteem underpins so much mental ill health. This is abook I now recommend to clients who have low self-esteem. Very practical, very useful.
