Amazing Gaming Phone update to the G8 ThinQ
The G8 ThinQ was the 2019 Flagship for LG. The G8x is the dual screen gaming phone update. Mostly the enhancements are in the OS, slightly better GFX, bigger screen, and more battery life, with obvious advantages if you get the 2nd screen. The sound is amazing, probably the best sounding Android Phone in price range. LG makes quality products and they tend to last well into your next upgraded device. I have some 12 year old LG that still work... They make excellent screens, which is 1/2 of your phone... The finger print reader isn't as good as some dedicated readers I have used, however, the fact it uses the screen is amazing and very convenient. So 4 of 5 stars on the reader only. ANDROID 10, 6GB RAM, Octa-Core Snapdragon... Amazon Certified Refurbished and like brand new.

Outstanding value
Couldn't be happier. To be clear I do use ATT as carrier and this is an ATT phone. So it works for me, very easily. Phone exactly like new. And the phone itself is super responsive. I'm retiring in 6 weeks so have to give up my company phone, a Galaxy S8 Active. The S8 was a great powerful phone, but it's tech is about 18 months older than the G8X. And the G8X screams in comparison. So happy with it, that I'm buying a second one for my wife.

No android update and hard to work with different Telecom carriers
Unless you dont want android updates or even different carrier's to work , you can buy the phone. The phone itself is ok, had a minor scratch on the back lens and battery life is like my old lg g8. Apart that its fine. But no android update or even different carriers cant get signal. Lucky i had a carrier that was supported.

Quick overview
This is my current phone at the moment and I love it!!! The battery life for this phone is very good especially with the duel screen attachment. The sound quality of this phone is very great when playing music or movies from the phones speakers or by connecting headsets to the phone. The value of this phone was down more than half the original price when I purchased it which was very good and cost effective for me. I have not use the face recognition tech on the phone so I don't know, but the biometric scanner is cool on this phone and makes it convenient to sign-in to your apps nd the phone. Also the Duo Screen feature is sooooooo cool and I would say buy this phone with the duo screen attachment that is the feature that I really wanted on this phone and I'm about to multi-task and game on my phone.Love this phone; Great product sad that LG is not making phone no more but this one is one of the best and the first of it class.

Not suitable for 5g.!
The only issues is the phone was supposed to be unlocked and it's not. It's not compatible with 5g Internet as wellIt's a shame phone was in great condition and I also had the dual screen caseBut was unable to get it to be unlocked and or built for 5 g. As per posting it says unlocked. It's also.taking to long for the return money? So I'm in the whole still without a phone n money . And I have a juvenile diabetic and a wife that's been in the hospital since last yrAA d

Phone experience depends on the seller
So much cheaper then s10. Fast, battery life A+, camera fetures of the g8x I am blown away coming from an S7. Especially low light and night shots. The phone I got was in mint condition and the battery charged fully and it is a wonderful phone. Your experience of a renewed phone will depend on who the seller is. The description says it should be an AT&T phone. The seller I got it from sent me a hacked unlocked sprint phone. Beautiful condition. I could of made it work but I notice right away when I powered it on from the begining of the standard welcome set up screen and everything started up for the first time. I though that's very strange. sprint phones have way way more bloatware. Like, there was no bloatware at all and hardly any apps where pre installed. I have handled the fully unlocked version of the g8x before and the lack of apps looked like the fully unlocked g8x phone but the splash screen was Sprint and phone info said Sprint. Fully factory unlocked g8x has LG splash screen. ATT phone have ATT splash screens. Yes I was able to get calls and text working for ATT towers on the sprint unlocked... but the sprint phones have 2 less bands for use on ATT towers amd you can't use ATT wifi calling or visual voicemail on ATT without an ATT brand phone. SO... with lack of sprint apps on the sprint model phone they sent me I then investigated further on the phone I was sent and found that the bootloader was unlocked. That is insecure. I wanted an unlock ATT phone not a hacked phone for security purposes. Next I factory reset the phone within the OS and all the sprint bloatware suddenly showed up for the first time. When I contacted the seller amd told them all this they did not deny the sprint phone had a non-sprint rom flashed over it and apologised and offered a refund or replacement. I see there is another review on here that said they got a sprint phone. Since I dont want my review removed for singling out a seller the initials for the seller, two words, are E D. I have had seller remove reviews if you mention them and not soley the product but this is important if your selling renewed from different sellers in one spot. Luckly I got it as Prime purchase and the refund was easy. I asked amazon to investigate if others got sprint phones so they dont keep sending out the same phone. Lets hope E D doesn't do it again. As I had said... I could of made the Sprint g8x work being in mint condition if the bootloader wasn't unlocked. Find a hard rest g8x video to see what it looks like. When you do a hard rest it should go to a white screen for locked bootloader. This one sent to me went to a black screen where you could install from an sd card.Don't let my experience detour you from the g8x. It is such a great phone. Moving forward I now have another g8x... non sprint unlocked g8x... from another seller and I am so excited how it performs and battery life. Minus 1 star for thefinger print unlock being on the front and not as reliable as when lg had them on the back.

Works best with AT&T
You will not be able to get all system updates needed anytime soon unless you switch to ATT. The minute I switched, all of the updates went through. ATT reps who say that's not the case are clueless. Don't try any of the MVNO's either. You will not be able to use Hotspot with many of them or call forward either, I have tested this with multiple providers and I could not upgrade to Android 10 or switch on call forwarding. In some cases Hotspot works. With Cricket it won't for sure. I have access to ATT's first generation 5G connection . No bad so far. Overall really good phone when used with it's original provider - ATT.
