Making my attic cool again!
I purchased a different solar attic fan a year ago from a different seller which is no longer available and it has worked fantastic! Keeps my inside home temp at least 5 degrees cooler. Decided to add one at the other end of the home and chose this solar attic fan. I can't crawl 50 feet through an attic to install on the inside of the vent so I built a 4" deep box and mounted the fan inside the box before mounting to the outside of the attic vent. Worked perfectly doing this and the fan is still protected from the elements. I did wire in an on/off switch so I can easily turn it off during the winter months. Anxious to see if this second solar attic fan makes a difference.

Works great
This works great for me. I did NOT install a battery. I have the fan hooked directly up to this solar panel so it runs during the day and automatically shuts off at night. There is NO mounting hardware that comes with either of these products. So think ahead on how you plan to mount it. The fans works great, just wish there was a shield on the back. (Fingers did NOT like the way that felt) Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Comes with no instructions
Overall, this seems like a good fan and solar panel - but it is not simply plug and play -- takes a little bit of thought to set it up and configure the wiring correctly. No instructions for installing or connecting the fan to the solar panel were supplied. The panel connections are marked "+" and "-" but the wires coing from the fan are not marked. That wouldn't be a problem, but the end of the solar panel wires that need to connect to the fan wires are left for the customer to finalize with their own additional connectors (male and female bullet connectors - see photo). Since one of the fan wires is black and one is blue, I assumed that the blue would be positive and black negative, which is conventional here in U.S.Everything put together, added a shutter to protect the fan from rain and sun (this one fits, with some extra holes you have to drill yourself, but that's not hard) -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JGBT63V?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details, and tried it out. Alas, the fan was blowing in rather than out (should be an exhaust fan), which does not work with louvered gravity shutters that are only forced to open when the exhaust fan is on and blowing outward. I figure the wires were connected incorrectly, so I redid the connectors and all worked properly. It would have been easier if (a) there were instructions indicating which way to wire for exhaust or intake, or (b) the set had come with appropriate connectors already attached. The solar panel comes with no hardware to attach to a roof (mine is going on an 8' x12' shed which serves as our chicken coop), so I had to order z brackets as well (these seemed good: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018442ZKQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details).Some people add either an on-off switch or a thermostat to allow for cooler sunny days when you might not want the fan to run. I may still do that, but will try it without for a while to see whether it would be an improvement.Update: I did add both a thermostat and a variable speed control because the fan was a bit louder than I wanted it to be, and the positioning of my shed put the solar panel in direct sun all day, which meant it would just always be on. The end result is very satisfactory. The fan is much quieter at about 50% of its capacity, and the thermostat insures that it only comes on when needed.

Sourced parts thrown together requires additional assembly
Purchased for a small greenhouse exhaust. The solar panel and fan are quality made but sourced parts thrown together, it is not out of the box ready, requires additional assembly. Re-reviewing the product images they show for the most part what comes in the boxes (arrives as two part shipment fortifies my thinking they are sourced parts friom disparate vendors shipped to your address) but also a bit misleading need tools and parts not supplied. The fan comes with plastic mounting brackets but no screws (not provided). Fan has two wires with different copper end connectors (shown in the pictures) for some unknown use but not usable with the solar panel cables. Requires cutting off the fan end connectors and stripping wire to use with a compressible wire join connector (not provided). The solar panel comes with two large guage wire cables, one end has male snap connectors into female connectors on the solar panel, the other end just cut wire ends (not shown in the pictures). Requires stripping wires to use with compressible wire join connectors to join solar cables to fan wires. Good I have all the parts and tools at hand for this project. Once the wiring solved I put in the sun and fan runs fast and quiet with good CFM. I plan to keep and improvise an on/off switch in the circuit to allow turning off in the cooler seasons.

Nice! Works great…no brackets
Easy to adapt to my needs. Once the sun hit the cells, the fan goes!!!! Very noticeable difference in shed . Might buy another one. However…does not come with any type of bracket, clips, or something to mount the panel. Hade buy separately. On the plus, the brackets were inexpensive.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!
It looks like a good deal, if you are an electrician/carpenter/installer. They came with no instructions. Not one slip of paper in either box. They did not include any suggestions about how to install, or what kind of mounting hardware you will need. They didn't include the electrical parts you would need to hook the fan to solar panel. There is no help whatsoever. Trying to return it has turned into a nightmare also. You're better off going somewhere else - just move on and save yourself a multitude of headaches.

Works great
Purchase arrived two days ahead of schedule. Mounted and wired system up and it has made a big difference in my homes temp. It only runs during the day as there is no battery to store power. Doesn’t seem to be a problem though. Also wired a temp switch to limit fan on cooler days. I recommend this product. Solar is the way to go for attic fans. Why waste energy to save energy? Zero cost after initial purchase. Happy with this choice.

It needs full sun
I bought two of these solar fans. I installed the first one. Half a day. Very pleased with the performance. I live in Florida, the sunshine state. It pulls a lot of hot air from the attic. Hopefully the air-conditioning bill will drop
