Finally! A perfect fit that doesn't look like a boat ! 👍
I'm embarrassed at how many shoes I have purchased & returned, and I don't just mean on Amazon . Even in a well reputed shoe store they didn't get it right. I have a hammertoe on my longest toe on each foot. I have flat feet and have experienced plantar fasciitis. This shoe is the absolute best one I have puton these 66 year old feet. I learned these things recently : needing a wide toe box does NOT EQUAL needing a wide shoe. Neither does having flat feet ( mine are not rigid) . These fit me perfectly throughout and I do not feel like I am wearing klodhoppers. Out of the box today at 6 AM I easily did a 2.5. I walk in absolute comfort. 2.5 mi might not seem huge to most walkers/runners, but I'm new at this commitment and these shoes are my answer. I'm writing this review after having immediately ordered a second pair. BTW - there is not a width selection. Inside on the size you will see "w". I don't know why. I ordered their standard 10 and I can wiggle my toes, but when walking I do not have wide heels causing my heels to rub around. I. Just so pleased! I also learned that I do best wearing very low cut ankle socks to keep my ankles from sweating and getting itchy. I hope my review helps someone struggling with these issues.

Love this line of shoes
Had purchased the 6.0 version previously in a size 7 (I'm usually 6.5, but have bunions and need a wide toe box). The size 7s were a tad too large for me, but the shoes were so cush that I decided to keep them and wear them around the house. The size 6.5 in pink was the cheapest and most readily available, so I got these, despite having reservations about the color. I love them and haven't taken them off of my feet since. The design is more updated from previously and the size 6.5 are fine sizewise. However, I feel that, if I had upped to a size 7 they wouldn't feel as large in the toe box as the previous version of this shoe. Somehow, the fit is a bit different between the two. It's like standing on one of those industrial grade standing mats all day long.PS: I don't use these for running, mainly standing on my feet 8+ hours a day in front of my computer and walking around the house doing chores.

MOST COMFORTABLE SNEAKERS I’VE EVER OWNED!
Bought these in desperation because I had developed a painful tailor’s bunion on the outside of my foot, and all my shoes suddenly hurt. I needed a wider toe box, but not a wider shoe, as I don’t have a wide foot and my foot would slide out of wides. Bought a pair of Brooks Ghosts, and though that’s a great shoe too with a spacious toe box, it also hurt my bunion. Eventually it became comfie to wear but in the meantime, these came along, and totally fit the bill. The toe box is shaped a lot like the toe box of a Crocs clog (which was the only other shoe that didn’t give me pain!), but is a helluva lot more attractive than a Croc! With that said, I should point out that you don’t need a bunion to appreciate this shoe. The sole is lightweight and very springy to walk on, and the zero drop design surface for the foot is also the most comfortable I’ve ever had. These are not cheap, but I highly recommend them. Love them so much, I just bought two more in different colors. And their color offerings are lovely too! Just a great, super-comfie sneaker. Highly recommended!

Works for me while most don't!
This is a zero drop running shoe that has worked very well with my high arches and achilles issues.

Amazing running shoes!
I literally never write reviews, but really feel like I need to write one about these shoes. I run about 5-6 outdoor trail miles a day, and these are the best running shoes I have found. I started having really bad foot pain within the last year and was even considering surgery, as it was interfering with my ability to run. After about 6 months of wearing these shoes, my foot pain is gone and I'm back to my 7-8 minute mile time. I am also a nurse and work on my feet all day. I bought a separate pair for work and have never felt better at the end of a shift. I highly recommend these and will never buy another brand of running shoes!

Second pair
This is my second pair of these. Work well for my needs but this pair doesn’t seem quite as comfortable. The blue color is great!!

Love this shoe, quality… less than desired
I love Torin 4.5. Wore a pair for the past year almost every day until I couldn’t.Since they’re no longer on the Altra website I had to rush to Amazon which barely has sizes. I got a 9 luckily before they sold out and I love them but… the tongue on the left shoe is defective. It is not sewed/stitched shut so you can see the foam inside. I don’t like this. Just noticed after wearing for a week+. Also the base of the heal has torn already… I never had this issue before. Idk if the product has become cheaper or what…Not worth the money if you ask me for the quality. I’d return them if I could get a new pair but there aren’t any… I would like a refund ultimately.

Comfortable!
I really enjoy these shoes. I have had two pairs for myself. The Plush Torin model. This time I purchased these for my mom and she loves them. They have the right amount of cushion in the heel. These are my every day shoes. I used to have pain in my heels and it would hurt to run. I also have wide feet so these allowed for my toes to have the perfect about of space. Since I started using these, the pain has stopped. So I would definitely buy these again and for my family.

Narrow compared to Escalantes
First time trying Altas and after much research decided to go with these and Escalantes. I don’t think I’d buy the Turrins again, but I’ll definitely buy the Escalantes again. These are narrow in the toe box( I don’t have wide feet), so I don’t get the same luxurious feeling of spreading my toes like I do in the Escalantes. That said these Turrins fit closer in the ankles and my socks don’t slip off my heel.I doubted the stability when I first purchased them, maybe cause they’re higher off the ground, and also because I sprained my ankle badly a year ago, and was worried I’d roll my foot in these. Luckily after 3 months of wearing them this hasn’t happened. The Escalantes are thinner soled but are still feel cushioned. For reference I pronate, have the beginnings of a bunion, and was experiencing a lot of stiffness and soreness in feet, legs, and back. I gave Altas a try because I wanted to not cramp my big toes and invest in anatomically supportive footwear.I’m in way less pain since wearing them. I was wearing a worn out pair of nike runners and now can’t believe I wore them when I look at the pointy toe box. Never going back.
