An encouraging, supportive book for homeschool moms!
As someone who was homeschooled the last few years of high school, I know how important it is to surround yourself with encouraging, supportive people. On one hand, homeschool can be awesome and open the doors to many amazing opportunities. On the other hand, it can also feel isolating and draining. What I appreciate about this book is the author’s encouraging and supportive nature. This book centers around five key themes that include praise and revival, seeking wisdom, praying for ourself, praying for our family, and praying for our homeschool. Each chapter is short, powerful, and beautiful written—making this an excellent self-care resource for busy homeschool teachers. I recommend this book to every mom looking for strength and sustenance on her homeschooling adventure!

A friend on the journey
I love working through this devotional!! It's like everyday I get to hang out with a friend who really *GETS* me and where I am at on this journey. She is such a good friend that she helps points me back to the author and perfector of my faith and the one who called me to this crazy, absolutely amazing, sometimes over-whelming task of homeschooling my teens. Sometimes, as a homeschool mom, I can get so wrapped up in teaching our teens that I forget that I need to be taught and filled up too! So thankful Pat took the time to write this! I know I will use it for years to come!

To The Point
Homeschool moms don't have a lot of time for quiet devotion. Sometimes we relegate to a quick trip to the bathroom. No one ever questions going in there alone. (Well, maybe the six-year-old sitting next to the door waiting for you to come out.)Pat Fenner knows. The devotions in her book, "Prayers for a Lifestyle of Learning," are short and to the point. The tone of each is set with an introductory Scripture, then a short devotion, followed by a prayer. A moment of calm before the whirlwind of the day begins. Each one also has "Dig Deeper" to journal thoughts, if time allows.Although grouped by subject, this book can be grabbed, opened anywhere, and the devotion for the day is ready for you. Even though it's designed for thirty-one days, it's one to keep handy to look at any time. Maybe with those first sips of coffee before the tribe wakes up. It's not a once and done kind of book. This is not a devotional written on the theory of homeschooling or being a mom. Yes, even if not homeschooling, any mom can appreciate the brief encouragement in her day. My active homeschool days are over, but I still relate to what Ms. Fenner has to say."Prayers for a Lifestyle of Learning: A 31-day Devotional for Homeschooling Moms" is a book all moms should have handy.

A heart for homeschooling
Pat Fenner is the real deal--a devout Christian mom who spent 20 years in the homeschooling trenches. Choosing to educate our children at home brings its own joys and challenges, and Pat understands this so well. If you are where she was--or even if you aren't--her words will bless and encourage you on your journey. As moms, we want only the best for our children, but this book is a beautiful reminder for us to trust and turn to the only One who loves them even more than we do.

A reminder for what's most important each day.
Perfectly written for a busy Mom with no time to herself this book allows you to grab and read through a devotional and get your own heart right before facing the challenges of homeschooling. Pat writes in a way that you feel both drawn to the Lord and like you have had a dose of 'adult' time (something usually missing in a homeschool mom's day). So thankful for this book.

A Must Read! Well Done!
I find Pat's book to be something that can lift a person up. This is a great reflection of the blessings given to us as we go day to day through the homeschool years. A must read if you love encouragement during these years.
