In order to both read and write well, kids need to know how to spot differences. So this book really fits the bill, even though the assorted tasks are widely varied. Spot-the-Difference games, mazes, "who doesn't belong in this picture", and letter sounds all mix with very simple math portrayals.All color pages, with mazes that are realistic and nothing too complicated nor too easy. I like that the designers actually cared about making the pages interesting rather than slapping out typical designs for small kids.Age range, I think it runs a bit younger than Kindergarten Basics, maybe late Pre-K is more appropriate. The price is really hard to beat too!

This is a great book for a kindergarten student. There are lots of activities to stimulate their minds. The pictures are attractive too.

I got the book for my preschooler and it is ideal for him to learn basic alphabets, shapes and do some coloring.Ideal for pre-k (preschoolers) and not for those older. Good buy for the price (under $3)Ordered the book online and it was delivered promptly.

My kindergartener comes home from school asking for more and loves to work through this book with me little by little.

I'm a mother, trainer, and in-home childcare provider, so I am careful about the educational books I buy for kids because I want to challenge my kids and prepare them for school and life success. I bought this simply because the price was so low and I thought it would be fun for our kids to have another "homework" book to do. The concepts are right on target for kindergarten, the pages are full-colored and arranged well, and the price is great. For $2, it's worth it. I wouldn't pay more, though.For all of my kids, I purchase the Comprehensive Curriculum for Preschool (or Kindergarten, depending on their age). It's only $13 and is almost 600 pages of awesome activities that really prepare your child for the next level. I recommend that for the main curriculum and this as a fun activity for your own kids or your childcare's Writing Center.
