Only small birds, not cardinals or above VIDEO
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I previously had a little porch swing feeder that they just landed on and pecked seed. Chickadees, titmice, wren, fench, cardinals, even blue jays ate in fair harmony. But then mourning doves appears and wreaked havoc - injuring one of the tit mice to the point he stayed under my covered patio 2 days. Good thing he was able to at least hop over to the see and birdbath/water.The mourning doves are too big and nearly broke the swing and just caused a giant ruckus the day they showed up (after a big rain). Doves also like to congregate near the feeding to bully other birds. The last thing I want is congregating birds of ANY kind or size under my patio or on my window sills. So I needed something the doves and soon grackles and whatever else was on the way, couldn't even land on. This works great - took the birds a day or so to learn how to land. But the redbird/cardinals cannot feed from it - the perch is too small - if they do land, they're too tall to turn their necks to get at the seed. Nor can the blue jays. I read somewhere they can hover like a hummingbird and peck, but I haven't seen than yet. They also don't crowd and use all 6 perches at a time. They generally feed two of a kind at a time. Often dive-bombing each other in play (Black Capped Chicakees in video). They finish and two tit mice come in.If I put the swing back up, I'll have to hang it tall enough so the cardinals can just fit but the doves cannot. This does cause them to eat less, which I guess is good for them. Makes them hunt on their own too. Before,it was really a buffet and they were going through seed pretty fast. They feed all the way tonight fall! As late as 8:30 - 8:45pm. here in Dallas, TX, it gets dark at 9pm in summer.

Ledges are too short for Cardinals and Bluejays
The product came as described - red, with multiple ports for feeding. We bought it to replace our glass feeder that had been attached by the squirrels. None of the birds were able to balance on the little bitty ledges to get to the same feed they had been enjoying for months with the old feeder. I even tried to add PVC pipe to extend the ledges, but the direction the birds need to reach the dispensers were too awkward and they avoided a full feeder. We fixed the glass feeder and re-hung it next to the new (unusable) one and the birds rejoiced. The squirrels returned, too, so now it's just a matter of time before they break the glass one again.

Meh.
Considering these were a fraction of the cost of other feeders, so I shouldn't be surprised that they didn't hold up well. The clear plastic is kind of thin and the lids/tops are not super durable. I expected the squirrels to get in them, but with one little push the entire feeder fell down and the squirrels had themselves a nice little feast. They also managed to completely chew off the pegs. I bought the double pack and neither one lasted a month. I'd say this is okay if you're starting out in this hobby (and don't have many squirrels around), but for the long haul I think it's better to invest in a more durable feeder.

Green vs Red
Really not that bad. However I have noticed the birds prefer the green feeder over the red. I even switched both of them to different locations and they still went to the green one. May just order another green one if they don't start eating from the red one.

Bird Feeder
Within a week a squirrel chewed a huge hole through the tube so the feeder is worthless now. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. Disappointed.*I have edited my review because the customer service is outstanding. Upon learning of the problem with their product, the company immediately reached out to me to make things right. I will definitely continue to do business with them because of the stellar customer service I received.

Useless
For starters the claim Squirrel proof is an outright lie. Aside from that, the actual feeder is not bad for very small birds. The perch is wrong for bigger birds like cardinals and even sparrows.

Plastic is flimsy. Not the quality described.

Looks great
upon receipt I filled one of them up with bird seed and 2 days later we've seen our first chickadee show up for some food. We hope to attract many more of our feathered friends throughout the fall and winter months ahead.
