Q: I wear a xl/xxl Flexfit hat normally....is this that big or not??

Yes, it is much larger then a regular hat. I’m a 7 5/8 and can’t wear flex fits or regular snap back because they are too small but these fit me.

Q: My head size is over 8 and a half closer to 9. Will this hat work???

Although I don't recall the measured size of my son's head,regular caps don't fit him at all. This one was perfect.

It’s proportional to the size of the hat. Not any larger than a normal hat. Only larger in the sense that the whole hat is larger.

Q: About how deep is this hat in inches?

The crowns of high profile hats are about 3.5 inches above the rim. The crowns of low profile hats are a lot lower. They fit closer to the head.
