I’m not one who usually writes reviews unless a product is really good or really bad...these are EXCELLENT!!! This picture was taken of my son’s room at almost noon today. As you can see, if it weren’t for the light coming in from around the curtains and above the rod, the light would be blocked out 100%! These are the best blackout curtains I have ever purchased. They are very heavy and a very thick material, so make sure you have a solid rod and support your screws. I would buy these over and over again, but unfortunately, the colors I need for my other rooms aren’t available.

For the price, they are surprisingly thick and heavy. Nicer than any I could find in local stores for a higher price. They are fantastically soft as well.My living room windows get direct sun for most of the day and evening, so these fit the bill. They block out almost all of the light, even at the worst time of day. The room even feels cooler without all that sunlight. Already bought 3 more sets for other windows.I imagine some might dislike the amount of light coming in around the grommets, but it's perfect for my purposes.

I thought it's what blackout curtains are all like, until recently, it was so hot and bright that my curtains does absolutely nothing...so, I purchased HLC.ME curtains out of desperation and my gosh... the best decision EVER... my room is significantly cooler, my only regret was that I didn't purchase it sooner!Before installing it, make sure you wash it beforehand. Prior of purchasing this item, there is a chemical warning upon checkout. The smell was pretty strong out of the bag, so, I washed in perm press cycle, and dry it on perm press setting, it will still be damp when you take it out, so just air dry in an open space ( I dried it over night in the living room).Just buy it already, you won't regret it.

I was looking for blackout curtains with a white backing (required by my condo association) and it was nearly impossible to find any. On top of that, I needed a weird size that most curtains don’t offer (72in length). These curtains met all my requirements!! While not completely blocking all the sun due to the way my curtain rod is situated, these block out a good bit of light. They seem thick and durable-they’re pretty heavy. I work night shift so I often sleep during the day but have yet to actually try them, hence the 4 stars. Will see how it goes!

Well made high end quality for a great price! Heavy and does what it’s supposed to-look beautiful with a nice texture and sheen. Made better than Bed n Beyond curtains I’ve been buying for years! You get 2 panels for a great value! Everything about this is exactly what I’ve been searching for!

I am using this product in staging my home for sale. Everything I like about good, quality drapery is in this product. It's sold as described - a total blackout like you see in a Marriott hotel. I will definitely use this for my new home.

I work nights, and sleep during the day. I have a hard time sleeping with the sun in my face. I took a chance on these. I’m shocked at the quality for this price point. These curtains are truly blackout. They are excellent quality! They are very thick and heavy. I noticed a huge difference with the temperature in my room as well. As others have mentioned, be sure to purchase a strong and sturdy curtain rod to support them. To combat the light that emits around the curtains, I bought some black curtain scarfs that helped a lot. I’m very happy with this purchase. Don’t be fooled by the price. These are well made, and exactly what you’re looking for to block out the light. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough good things about these curtains - quality material, thick due to the double layer with white thermal backing, completely blocks out light, and totally stops drafts from my single pane windows next to our couch. I no longer feel any cold drafts once these curtains are closed and our family room where they are installed is appreciably warmer. The only negative is that these curtains will arrive with significant creases/wrinkles due to being packaged, and will need to be pressed with a warm iron on the lowest setting - but this is to be expected with any curtains. From experience, I would not advise putting these curtains in the dryer if you wash them due to the thermal backing ~ they should be line dried or hung back up wet/damp to dry naturally. I will definitely purchase this brand of curtain again for any additional thermal blackout curtains I need!
