How to Live the Dream: Things Every Van Lifer Needs to Know

Before I read this, I had no idea there was such a thing as a van life style. I had pictured, probably from some movie, a guy living in a van, one step above homelessness, down by the river. I guess he wasn't doing it right. This book is interesting because it takes one through the options and things to think about for a van lifestyle or even for something slightly bigger such as a modified school bus aka skoolies. This is a good how-to without dictating to anyone plus there's a good list at the end of further resources and experiences on the internet. This book discusses mechanical problems, hygiene, budget, keeping things from rolling around loose in a moving vehicle, and other essential things to think about. I enjoyed reading this because I'm not going to do this. My rating is 4 stars for I enjoyed reading this and found out this is not what I want to do.

I’ve dreamed of living the nomadic van lifestyle. This book has given me great info as I am new to this type of lifestyle. I am excited to start this journey as soon as this pandemic is over!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this interesting and informative little book. It is well-written and comprehensive even though short. I have no intention of ever van dwelling or even camping. I’m fascinated by the lifestyle and enjoy books on the topic. Well done!

I read it straight through one sitting. Good start for anyone interested in Van life. Is more of a magazine article than a book but fir $3 on kindle it’s worth the money.

Reading this book was a delight! I am wanting to prepare for a skoolie build and gathering information for a new life as a travel phlebotomist but living on the road as well. This book definitely helps! I realize the struggles I may encounter and how to forsee some obstacles. After reading this book I have a very real perspective of what I actually need to do versus the fantasy I developed in my mind prior.

I loved this book! That author is brilliant, and the instruction style book with a plot is really cool. Makes the information more accurate and engaging to the reader. Looking forward to learning more things from her!!!

Enjoyable and easy read! Highly recommend it for anyone looking to delve in at a surface level to the topic.

Very basic, not what I was expecting or wanting.

It's a good read with some good points . Writen for American market ,so limited use for Europe . But still asks some good questions about van life and is it for you
