Best Box for Art Storage.
I have three to four of these so far: pencils, charcoal, erasers, and battery-powered erasers. I also have another box for oil paints and yet another box for art acrylic paint. These boxes are easy to close and secure with enormous metal clips. Weight is distributed correctly and easily carried with a large, sturdy handle.

Can't Say Enough About This Box!
I'm, well - over 60, and have tried several tool boxes in my life. Most tool boxes have a useless lift-out tray of un-organized frustration. This unit helps me organize my tools and holds a surprising amount - so much so that on occasion I use both hands to carry it by it's integrated side handles (another benefit - though the single top-handle is plenty sturdy). It has a weather strip as an added bonus to make it water resistant if you get caught in the rain working on a project. I purchased this box in 2020 and am reviewing in 2023 so I can attest to it being sturdy. It comes in a larger size but I know if I bought the larger box I'd only fill it up and it would be too heavy for me to carry - plus the only tool I don't already have in it is a large pipe wrench. As is, it holds every tool that I need. Great gift too if you know a young person just starting out in their collection of tools.

Super sturdy
Fantastically sturdy, I (250lbs) could stand on this to reach something, probably for few hours if I had to. The structural foam is no joke. It weighs as much (or actually probably less for the same size) as steel box of yesteryear but will not dent, bend or rust and is in fact far stronger. Plus this has a gasket to keep it water resistant (never had it out in a proper storm but aside from submersion I don’t see any water getting into this design). If you need a good sturdy toolbox this is it. I have since moved on to a proper tool chest in the home shop and then tool bags I can load up with what I need for where I’m going. I formerly had been able to fit all my tools in here but the nature of collections being what they are I had to upgrade. If you had few enough tools to fit in here this does make a fine bench top organizer and it just happens to be portable (it does get pretty heavy loaded up though, mine was ~50lbs). For things more delicate than tools this would certainly keep them protected.

Awesome tool box.
First of all. I love this tool box. It is very rugged and has ample storage space. The only thing I wished it had was that the tray slides were as rugged as the rest of the box and a little smoother. Also more dividers would have been nice for my purposes. I had lots of tiny things I store in the top trays. Other than that, this tool box is awesome.

Great box for ATV use!!!
I ordered this to be mounted on a custom rear rack I built for my 2014 Can Am Renegade 800 X Xc. Why? I needed a waterproof and tough box to stow all my gear, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed in the perfect sized package. This box is rugged and waterproof for sure. I sunk my Bumblebee to just under the air intake and the box was almost completely submerged only to find perfectly dry contents when I opened it. Through all the mud, water and ridiculously bumpy terrain I took it on, there was no failure on the boxes end. I love the two sliding drawers, which seem to be the perfect size for my smaller items, and the large bottom area that fits all my tire repair and emergency kit items. As far as security goes, the hinged is a simple pressed rod with now mechanism preventing it from being forced out. To be honest though, it would be easier to just snap the areas where the locks would go so its not a real issue, if someone is determined to get into something they will find a way.

Durable & Perfect !! Buy Me
Top notch! I use this for my guitar cables, tools an accessories. Greatest thing ever. The sliders are perfect for organizing and transporting small parts. I have a clip light on mine so I can work in the box when it's dark. Very high quality build including latches. Fist five star I've ever given. Worth every penny.

Great for X-Wing
I can store all off my X-Wing ships in this thing. With the 1" foam trays, everything fits snugly. The bottom will hold two 1.5" trays for large ships and an additional 1" tray. It's very sturdy and has a gasket to keep water out. I've dropped it several times in transport but never had any issues. The Hounds Tooth is the only odd sized ship so you'll have to be creative

Heavy duty enough for our use
My daughter enrolled in an art high school this fall, and one of the items she needed was an art box. The local Blick store has some art boxes and we bought one: http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Art-13-Inch-Box-Black/dp/B0027AEGW4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410483741&sr=8-1&keywords=art+boxBut after looking closely at it at home, it didn't seem sturdy enough for my tastes. I told her that I prefer to spend a little more and get a better quality item that will last many more years and not break. So we returned it.After doing a lot of looking around, I ordered this tool box.Wow this is so much more sturdy. It's a little heavier, and a little bigger than the prior art box, but it looks like and seems like it could withstand falling off the back of a pickup truck and be just fine. The articulated trays however, slide on plastic (or what seems to be plastic) rails. Apparently they have ball bearings though, but I didn't inspect it enough to figure that out.The yellow tab by the seal comes off so it's less of a distraction (remember, art high school), and so does the "FatMax" label plate. It's nice that it is water proof as well, something she doesn't need. For the articulating trays, they slide pretty well. They are not perfect but since this was built for construction trades, my daughter should be giving it a "light duty" workout.4 stars for articulating trays that slide only "pretty well"
