Emtek 2463 Illuminated Door Bell with Modern Rectangular Rosette, Flat Black

Plate is heavy and well made. The doorbell unit attached to it is junk. Brittle plastic, delicate, ‘bulb’ is held in place with friction. I saw a review on a similar Emtec unit and thought it must've been a one-off. Had to matchmark and glue mine to get it to an installable condition. Fortunately all the cobbling is hidden behind the sturdy plate

Well made metal but the plastic bulb attachment is junk. Had to finally glue it together before installation.

The plastic piece is cheap and cracks during installation. Sent it back and ordered a replacement…they shipped the same broken one I sent them as the replacement. I should’ve read the reviews prior to purchasing. It seems this problem is one experienced by many. Don’t waste your time!
