Universal Remote Control For LG Smart 3D LED LCD HDTV TV Replacement

I bought two of these remotes so that I would have a spare--I seem to drop my remotes/knock them on the floor so eventually they just stop working.Why I like this remote:• It worked with my LG ThinQ TV as soon as I put in 2 AAA batteries. No code or programming required.• It has real buttons, including On/Off, Volume Up/Down, Channel Up/Down.• The buttons are large and easy to see.• You can easily find the Volume Up/Down and Channel Up/Down buttons in the dark because they are similar in design to a rocker switch. Also, you will know your thumb is on these controls because your index finger will slide into a groove in the back of the casing right behind where these controls are located.• The remote has an Info button, which gives you info about the program you are watching.• The remote controls both my LG TV and my LG Blu Ray player.• It is affordable. Much as I hate the MR, before I knew there were alternative universal remotes for LG TVs, I thought I would have to buy another MR because the On/Off symbol on my remote has recessed into the hard plastic casing so it is difficult to turn the TV on/off.What I don’t like about this remote• The 6 buttons surrounding the Navigation Controls and OK button are barely higher than the Navigation Controls. This is the exact same problem the MR buttons/symbols have.What I miss about the MR• I miss the scroll wheel when changing channels. There are too many channels, features, and options nowadays and it is annoying to have to continually press buttons to get anything done.What you might not like about this remote• This Earthma Universal Remote is a big remote, about 2 inches longer than the MR.• The MR has separate buttons for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Movies. The Earthma Universal Remote doesn't, but this is really a non-issue, since you can access your apps from the Smart Hub.

Fantastic remote and replacement. Some buttons went out on my original LG remote. I ordered this one put batteries in it. I did not have to program anything and it started working immediately with all buttons working. Seems like just as good of or better remote than my original highly highly recommend just buy it it will work.

Out of the box every function works! Best deal out there.

This remote is great for the price, it may even be better than the remote that came with my tv which I didn’t like much anyways. The buttons are very satisfying because they are mostly so easy to use. Once in a while I’ll have a problem but nothing too annoying. It’s really big so I don’t lose it all the time and it worked straight out of the box. Doesn’t work 100% but I’d buy it again and this isn’t the first replacement remote I’ve tried.

For the first time in months, I'm happy to buy something inexpensive that works. Worked right out of the box. I haven't tested all the buttons as I am a cord cutter, but smart, arrows, volume, input, power, 3D, settings all worked. To me, that was most important as my dog destroyed my OEM magic remote.There is some negative reviews pointing out no back lighting or LG logo. None of these were advertised. What you get is a full functionality replacement to the 70 dollar OEM replacement magic remote, at least for me. 12 dollars vs 70 no Brainer. Plus I can still use the remote app from LG if I feel like I want a "premium feel". But honestly, I probably won't because this remote does everything I need it to.

Works fabulously for LG 3D SmarTV Model LG55 LA6200. I could not find my 10 year old tv model listed on any of the variety of replacement universal remote controls. I love my tv because it brings me enjoyment to play my medium size collection of 3d movies for my grandkids (ages 7 and 9) because they have so much fun reaching out into empty space to grab whatever 3d projectile that looks like its right in front of them. I took a chance with this remote because the appearance of it mirrored my broken remote and I couldn't be happier!

I originally poorly reviewed this and gave it one star, I gave the remote one more try. This is NOT an LG Remote, the picture of the item on listing says LG on the Remote. Even though the description states it's a 100% fully compatible generic remote that will work with LG TV's, they shouldn't have a picture of an LG remote for the listing. Did not work by simply putting in batteries, at first, it turned the tv on and off once and then no more. Changed the batteries twice, tried other buttons, nothing. Gave it a last try the next day before sending back, surprise...It suddenly works. I'm skeptical now about its reliability but it is working at the moment.For reference, we have an LG 3D 55" TV. It came in a white box labeled earthma, also says that on the remote. It had no instructions. It does have all the buttons necessary for my TV, like 3D button, arrows, color coded buttons, etc. the numbers, volume & channel buttons look like they may glow in the dark but I'm not sure if they do. The remote is extremely long, but narrow, comfortable to hold. Buttons don't seem to be sticking but there is some response delay (could be my TV).I got this to replace the LG magic remote that came with my LG TV that everyone hates & our 2 year old broke the magic remote with a few bangs. The bottom battery cover popped off easily and now won't go back on. After seeing the replacement cost ($60) of a new LG magic remote I decided to just get a universal one for a fraction of the cost. This generic traditional (yet still somewhat modern sleek looking) remote is better than the magic remote in my opinion and gets the job done. I will update this review if the remote malfunctions and I end up returning it.
