Great buy for yhe price
I recently ordered two of these. They came sooner than expected. I Was happy with the packaging. It came in large manilla envelope. I hate when you get a shoe box for a very small item.Although i was expecting to be able to pull up a YouTube video to sync remote to my car. Wrong My mistake only the older model cars could be synced . so i had to take it to the dealer so They could sync it with a special computer.Little tip for you... call around for prices some dealers charged anywhere from $75 dollars for each unit. I bought 2 which seemed ridiculously high.Found a dealer that was $45 for both.I am very happy with my purchase. Both units seem to be working real well.Even though dealer warned they could not guarantee the sync if it was not bought thru the dealer.Mine work great and cost considerably less. Very very happy. Now i can use my keyless entry to start my car in this cold weather.Love my remote start.

Works great! This is a replacement key fob for a ...
Works great! This is a replacement key fob for a 2005 Pontiac Gand-Prix GT. The two original key-less remotes finally wore out. I replaced the batteries only to get intermittent operation. So, it was time to replace the fob itself. I talked with local dealers and locksmiths and of course did my due diligence on line. What I found was quite simple ... locksmith didn't want to do and dealers were going to charge $$$ to do it. I spent a few bucks on this item, brought it to my local mechanic - he programed the fob top the car and viola, back in business.People, when you purchase an item, be certain that you know what to do when you get it ... I read so many reviews from people who could not get the fob to work ... dah, because it has to be programed to the car! (about $40-$50).Happy motoring ...

Low quality - broke soon after purchase
Had it programmed at my Chevy dealer. Works with my 2010 Malibu (including remote start).Edit: A couple months after purchasing this remote, the remote stopped working. I opened it up and saw that the solder connection that was supposed to hold the battery clip on the board was completely broken off. There were two solder points holding on the clip. Both had come loose. I was able to carefully place the clip over the solder points while closing the remote up again which would hold the clip in place for a couple weeks at a time. I was able to get less than two years of use from remote in this way (which only worked 80% of the time due to the battery clip having come off) until it stopped working altogether. I have tried replacing the battery. the remote still does not work. Not only do I now have to buy another remote less than two years after I bought this one but I'll have to pay a dealership another $40+ to reprogram it as well.

Works perfectly, what a great deal!
The original key fob for our 2005 Chevy stopped working well over a year ago. When we asked the dealer about purchasing a replacement, they said it would cost $125. It was not worth it to us to pay that much money just to unlock the doors, so we manually unlocked the doors since that time. When I saw this product on Amazon for less than $20, I thought it was one of those "too good to be true" situations where it is a great deal but the product doesn't work. However, I was pleasantly surprised when we took it to the dealership, paid $20 to have it programmed, and it has worked perfectly ever since! We are happily unlocking our doors remotely once again. Thanks, Amazon!!!

You may not need to program this if your old key fob's circuit board is still good
Over the 10 years that my mom has owned her 2006 Pontiac G6, the key fobs have stopped working. She got the first pair replaced under warranty but soon they stopped working too. The dealership wanted around $100 dollars to replace them so she went without them for a while. One day I took the key fob apart and found out the flaw is that the conductive material on the underside of the buttons that completes the circuit to the key fob's board wears away so it does not complete the circuit and therefore the signal never is activated and the car doesn't lock/unlock. This makes most people believe that the whole key fob is broken and the dealership lets you believe it too. In reality you just need this key fob (more specificly the rubber buttons with the conductive material) from Amazon. If you open up your non working key fob and place that circuit board it in this case it will most likely work and you can keep the circuit board this fob comes with as a spare in case you ever need it and save the $20 to program the remote! As for the 4 stars I took off one because the plastic feels cheaper than the original but if this works longer than the originals I will most definitely give the star back!P.S. Before buying this product I tried to fix the original fob by super gluing tin foil to the underside of the buttons and it worked for a while but the tin foil ended up falling off and for $13 I decided to buy this product instead of wasting my time trying to fix the old key fob.

Works better than old, broken one. Good deal
Update: dropped this thing ONCE from not even 3 ft and now it doesn't work at all. So now I have to spend an additional $70 to buy the fob and the cost to program it.My old key fob kept thinking I was hitting the lock button, so it kept beeping and when driving it kept doing the "kachin" sound repeatedly, and locking. I wasn't able to use my electric start due to the demon possession of my old fob. With this one, I purchased it, and brought it with me when I got my tires done at my local auto shop and asked of they can program it (I have a chevy cobalt and apparently you can't just program that on your own. Either dealership or locksmith needed). They ended up being able to for $60. I now have a fully functioning, non demon possessed key fob.

It needs a guide on how to program
I bought the unit to avoid the big ticket that the dealer wanted to supply and program a new Keyless Remote Start. After receiving it I found out there is no instruction anywhere to guide me on how to program this unit. I'm very disappointed, there is instructions on You Tube for the 2012 model Malibu but nothing for the 2011 Malibu. Now I have to go to the dealer and pay the higher amount.

Good product, okay range
Good product for a Chinese board, works well. Not the greatest range, but enough to start from inside my house which is enough for me.
