Great item

I have a very simple task: distinguish between fresh and saltwater in the bilges of boats without tasting. This instrument is very effective for that purpose, requires no batteries, is easy to read, and is very reliable. I only need to distinguish values near 0 from values near 35 ppt, so can’t speak for how well it would work for more demanding applications, but it works for me.

Definitely didn't come pre calibrated. BUT was super easy to calibrate just put some RODI water on it and used the tool provided. It's surprisingly accurate and love the ease of use instead of other methods. The build quality feels and looks nice. Other than the calibration part we'll see how it continues to do.

Good option for the price. I have been using for ~1 year now. I do find that it loses calibration though is the only concern. I check the calibration about once a month, or sooner if extreme weather/temperature changes.

Nice and sleek design. Just as good as the name brand ones. Make sure to keep the lense nice and clean after each use to get the best readings and the most life out of it.

Broken internal lens, the entire box doesn’t show any damage but when i opened it and tried to use it couldn't clearly see the values, the i unscrew the eye lens, and found the internal lens broken.
