What a wonderful book! This book makes real change, healing, and growth seem practical and possible. With a background of an inspiring life story of achievement, healing, and coaching from that expertise, the author of Everyday Resilience gives hope that we can all take small but significant steps that will make our lives better. The author treats the reader with respect for their intelligence, provides valuable context, rich stories, caring and pragmatic coaching, realistic and accessible exercises, and positive habits that we can all develop. Definitely a really helpful book to get for yourself or someone you care about who could use some support.

This book is practical, well written and an easy read
Full disclosure, I know and work with Gail Gazelle as a leadership coach. I find this book Everyday Resilience: A Practical Guide to Build Inner Strength and Weather Life’s Challenges a wonderful addition to the growing body of knowledge on professional coaching. This is a practical, well written and easily readable “how to” book which describes in detail strategies to develop and maintain resilience during these challenging times of COVID, political division, social injustice, and the economic fall out of the former three. There are many practical examples for clarity.I particularly like the initial chapter on Cultivating Resilience and how self compassion is described as the key to resilience. Gail reminds us of the contributions of pioneers like Carl Rogers to this critical area of self acceptance. This book has become a favorite book that I use in my practice with clients struggling with different challenges both personal and professional. Resilience is such a foundational resource in reconceptualizing those challenges. Thanks Gail for providing coaches with an additional tool to help our clients.John Polk, MD, EdM, Directions In Coaching

Great Comfort
Book reads like a conversation with a close friend who's very intelligent and kind. Never felt like a patient listening to their therapist. Ideas are well explained and easy to follow the methods to better ways. I felt close to Gail G. who wrote intimately of her own feelings and experiences dealing with struggles we all face and need to overcome. I continue to read this book and refresh the message of being stronger - more resilient. I am.

Practical tools and strategies for life, work, and home
Resilience is a topic that really resonates with me and my work, given the state of our lives right now. I found this book to be incredibly relevant in my coaching practice and at home as a parent to a pre-teen and teenager, as they navigate through our current world. I highly recommend this book for its ease of applying the concepts to everyday life and the many relevant stories included throughout its pages.

Straightforward, attainable, and eye-opening
This book is chock-full of clear and simple exercises that helped me find immediate relief and step into my own power. I found it so refreshing to find a self-help book with such a high substance-to-fluff ratio, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to boost their stamina at work, cultivate their emotional intelligence, and develop healthier relationships with their colleagues, friends, and family.
