Purity Reusable Face Mask with Comfortable Elastic Earloop (Pack of 3, Collection of 2 White Masks & 1 Blue Mask), Washable Protective Fabric Mask – Unisize

The masks I had until now were either very flimsy hospital type (cheap disposable ones) or a couple of cute jersey stretch ones - that made me feel like I was drowning, were impossibly hot and I could not breathe, sucked the material down into my mouth and felt like I was about to faint. So I was very pleased to try this Purity Reusable mask, testing for a user-experience company. In fact, I was rather desperate for a comfortable, washable BREATHABLE mask, since masks in my life have become such an important, essential, part of my obligatory "gear."The Purity masks come with three of them, for a very reasonable price. They are reusable, machine washable - how convenient! They may not be the cutest masks on the block, but they are simple and look decently and sturdily made for either sex. They have easily adjustable ear loops. You pull a little plastic loop that makes the loops shorter or longer - quite enough adjustability for any size face I think.To put on, you hook the mask over your ears and over your chin with the wire "V" side facing up toward your forehead. Then you pull it up over your nose to cover and then pinch the wire "V" over your nose so that it fits tightly enough not to slip, but still comfortable for your own face. The fabric of the mask (and it is summer now, and in a heat spell) is VERY comfortable and breathable and not too hot. It was a BIG relief to wear this when I went grocery shopping. I did not feel that I needed to quickly grab the minimum necessary products and dash from the store where I could rip of the mask and breathe. The Purity mask was comfortable enough for some additional browsing and shopping. Whew!!This mask was very pleasantly comfortable and easy to breathe through. The only negative that I have found, and the reason for the 4 stars (hopefully the manufacturer will see these comments and pay attention) is that I find the mask from top (nose) to bottom (under the chin) to be a bit too short. Because of this it has a slight tendency to pull off. It needs a bit more length in that direction. It needs to fit a bit further under the chin. But all in all this is a slight imperfection and the positives far outweigh that one flaw - BREATHABILITY, comfort, adjustability, easy machine wash, great price (for 3 masks!!), makes this product overall one I would definitely RECOMMEND. Note: I have not tried washing my masks yet, but they seem strong enough that they will hold up with washing.

I have a rather large head and elongated facial features (think Ron Perlman blended with Adrien Brody, with beards) so while the mask was comfortable on my face, the fit did not make it useful for wearing while exercising or talking; the mask slipped off my nose or rode up from under my chin easily. My wife, who has more petite and rounder features, comfortably wore the mask while doing a variety of everyday tasks. The thickness of the mask made breathing easy and seemed as thick as other cloth face covering materials I'd used, such as bandanas or neck gaiters, but it is definitely not as thick as an N95 mask—nor are cloth masks intended to be—and I wouldn't wear it for a sustained indoor experience in close proximity to others. Also, I wear glasses and rely on a tight seal to prevent lens fogging. Since the nose bridge wire on this mask doesn't hold it's shape very well, it creates gaps at the top of the mask that allow moist air to rise up and condensate on my eyeglass lenses. I was, however, pleased with how well the ear loops fit since I was worried they might obstruct the arms of my glasses; they don't. In short, on the right face shape this mask works great, but on mine it doesn't provide the coverage I need to feel secure.

First, in full disclosure, I was given this product in exchange for agreeing to write an honest review.Masks serve two functions: to protect the wearer and to protect others FROM the wearer. This mask is for protecting others. Like all cloth masks it offers only partial protection to the wearer. That said, it is extremely comfortable, lightweight, and well-fitting. It has a thin nose wire that can be bent to conform to the nose and seal the top of the mask. It has easily adjusted ear straps that make it a good fit for my face with a full beard and also my wife’s much smaller face. The ear straps lengths are adjusted by sliding the elastics through small plastic sleeves, a feature which I have not seen in most masks. The fabric is light enough and the top nose wire is ductile enough that the mask is easily stuffed into a pocket and easily pulled out, placed on, and adjusted. The fabric is light, comfortable, and offers little resistance to breathing. I suspect that it offers as much protection as any cloth mask and definitely serves the social function of protecting others. When not wearing an N95 mask or a disposable one, this is my new go-to mask.

This three pack of masks by Purity is VERY good. The quality of materials and construction is great. The elastic ear loops are always my biggest problem. Always too short and uncomfortable. The ADJUSTABLE ear loops on these are great. The adjustment pips are easy to slide, but stay where you put them. There is a stop that keeps the keeps the pip from sliding all the way off. The material of the mask itself is VERY soft, close knit and VERY breathable two layer construction. If I were to have one complaint, it would be that the inner and outer layers are only joined at the hem along the edges. They separate in the center and shift around a little. But, I learned that if you hold them at the top and bottom while putting it on, they stay in place pretty well. And,, adjusting the mask the same way works very well. I can wear this mask all day, with no problems. My face stays cool and dry, with no struggle to breathe and no fogging up my glasses. A great product. A good price. Highly recommend. Five stars.
