Works well
The light will come on if you still have battery power, makes sense. Although I thought that meant I had power going to it from my backup source, d'oh. If I'd been thinking it would have helped. I used it a second time, works just fine to save settings and whatnot. Excellent time and frustration saver.

Very short cable, not as advertised!
It is advertised as 6ft long cable which makes sense! When it arrived, the cable is only 2ft long. Not enough to even reach to the floor mats! Returned to amazon and purchased similar one from canadian tire with 6ft long cable as advertised!

Works like a Charm!
I tested this on my 2010 Toyota Tundra. I didn’t replace the battery but I did disconnect it and I was very pleased to see that it saved all the settings. I did replace the battery on my 2019 Toyota Camry and I had the same result. All the settings were saved. I used a small LIFEPo4 power station from EcoFlow as my power source. If you already have a 12 volt power source or an extra car with an extension then get this. Don’t bother with the one that cost’s over a hundred bucks. This does exactly what you need it to and for a fraction of the cost.

Works for me
Not sure why others have had troubles. Possibly a difference between auto brands. I have used it on a 2013 and a 2016 Honda with perfect results. Retained the clock and radio presets.The 2016 has a factory navigation system and everything works fine after making the battery change.

Works on vehicles compatible with the function.
I blew out an OBD fuse on a newer Subaru, but for an older one it was great.Be sure to check compatibility before use.
