Love this radiant propane heater!
This propane heater works awesome! We had the bigger Dynamic-Glo propane heater that has the flame. While that was a great source of heat, it was too big for our 5th wheel (heat wise - it ran us out 😂) and made the windows sweat a lot. I bought a smaller Mr. Heater and I just didn’t care for it. Then we found the Dyna-Glo radiant propane heater.. LOVE IT! On the lowest setting, it had kept our 5th wheel at a constant 70* over night.. with very little or no window sweat! If we turn up the heat, yes - window sweat can occur, but not like the open flame type propane heaters that we used prior. The thermostat works great, too!

Impressive
Just changed out my 20000 btu blue flame for this 18000 radiant Dyna glo and it’s much more efficient. I’m using this as a supplement heat source for my 600 sq ft log cabin with 200 sq ft loft in N Wis. the radiant heat is similar to my wood stove and just feels better than the blue flame. The thermostat settings are similar and #2 keeps the cabin at 70 while cycling on and off but doesn’t seem to run as long or often as the old blue flame. I think it’s due to the radiant design that heats objects which in turn radiate heat when the heater is not on.

I really like this heater but be warned... Customer Service doesn't answer!
I had an earlier version of this Dyna-glow (before the remodel) and it worked really well for 4 years. We used it in a room that used to be a porch and was converted to a large insulated laundry room. This winter, despite changing the battery for the sparker, the pilot would not stay lit and eventually wouldn't light at all. The HVAC guys couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so I ordered a new one. I couldn't find the old model, so I had to order the new model with the thermostat. I had that installed yesterday and the HVAC guys got it up and running and left. HOWEVER, it goes off after a few minutes and won't come back on unless we manually turn up the heat and turn it back on...but even then it won't stay on for more than 10 minutes even with the door wide open and cold air pouring in. I've called customer service twice and waited and waited and then asked for a call back and never got one. I'm out $300 in HVAC fees and $211 for this broken machine...and as luck would have it we have a super cold front coming in tomorrow. I'm really frustrated! Update: I am upgrading my review to 4 stars. We fiddled with the control buttons over a few days and it started to work. I'm still not sure why, but someone else thinks the control button was stuck in the down position. In the meantime I wrote to customer service through Amazon and they did offer to issue me a a full refund via email. They said that the heater won't work correctly at elevations over 4,500 feet. (The box warns of that as well, but places the elevation at 5,000). We are above 6,000 and it seems to be working and the older model worked for several years. I'm giving this 4 stars though (rather than 5) because they offer a customer service line but they didn't ever call me back after two calls.

Love that only electricity needed is from a AAA battery for the sparker
Agricultural use. Needed thermostat. Smallest BTU model with thermostat. Really throws great heat. Have my wall insulated with rigid foam and then 0.42" T Hardibacker board for fire resistance. Cheap insurance!

Propane heater
Didn't realize it doesn't have a thermostat so it constantly runs so uses up the propane quickly. Not as efficient as I was hoping. I'll be buying one that has a thermostat and hopefully be able to some how install thermostat on thus one.
