Finger Pulse Oximeter Works Just Like The Expensive Ones
The review title says it all..!! This little jewel takes two AAA batteries, not included. After easy battery installation just put it on and press the start button. After that everything is automatic. It gives an accurate reading within about 5 seconds and will continue to provide pulse and oxygen levels during the time it is worn. To shut it off, simply remove it and it shuts off completely within about 10 seconds. I've checked mine with similar instruments in different doctors' offices and it has been within 1 point on each reading every time. Just playing around with it I've found it works well on all fingers and toes, should that need ever arrive. The necklace pouch is quite handy and provides good protection. This unit is very light and can be easily carried in a bag or purse. One area where it is somewhat problematic is using it on a treadmill while exercising. It works well if you hold your hand pretty steady during exercise but gives varying readings if your hand is swinging or bouncing around. I won't fault it for that as I'm sure that was not part of the design criteria. I'd recommend this particular instrument to anyone looking to measure their oxygen levels and pulse while in a stationary environment or on the go. I've used this product for several weeks now and I'm VERY HAPPY with it. It allows me to exercise while monitoring my oxygen levels and heart rate. I'd purchase this same item again should my current one become lost or damaged.UPDATE: 17 July 2016.. This Pulse Oximeter continues to function flawlessly after many years of use.. It remains reliable, easy to use, and trouble-free.. A single set of AAA batteries appears to last about a year. Accuracy appears to be on par with those used by nurses in performing their evaluations. I definitely recommend this little meter to anyone purchasing such a device.. It has more than earned its keep in my life..

Pleased with purchase
Bought this to keep track of my 84 year old mother - to monitor heart rate related to a-fib. I was using (and still use) and blood pressure cuff that also tracks heart rate but the oximeter is much easier and quicker to do more often throughout the day. I was concerned that placing in the case would wear down the battery if the on button wasn't positioned correctly but that's not the case - the case is designed so you don't have to worry about that. Overall, good product and pleased with the purchase.

Pulse/Oximeter
I found the Pulseox 300c Pulse & Oximeter to be an excellent product. It gives you fast accurate readings for your pulse rate and oxygen level. After having heart surgery I had to keep a daily log of my pulse rate and oxygen level. This product made it a simple task. Just clip it on your finger tip and in less than a minute you have both reading displayed on an easy to read screen. Like most medical equipment it is a bit pricey. If you are in a situation where you need to measure your pulse and oxygen level daily, I'd recomend you consider this product. Pulseox 300c Pulse Oximeter, White

S L O W to converge
I am surprised at all the positive 4 star reviews of this product. I came by tonight to figure out if I was the only one who thought this oximeter was painfully slow to converge on a reading. It takes minutes for the SPO2 to converge, and in the meantime, I can only hope that second by second by pulse rate doesn't jump around as much as it says it is.Also, I think the display drivers are slow and flicker making it that much more painful to use. It's also not apparent from the photos but this oximeter is meant to be read by an observer, not by the user. That is, when it is on your finger, the display is upside down, so as to be read by the nurse, not by you.I think I am going to review its competitors -- it is worth it to me even to spend a bit more to get a device that is easy to use and not one that I'm going to hate using.

Satisfied Customer
I have exercised induced asthma and that causes me problems when I exercise. I have the rescue inhaler and I use it before and I still have problems. However, every year my pulmonary doctor tells me I'm breathing better, but I don't see it, so I wanted my own equipment to measure my blood oxygen. I keep asking for a Pulmonary Function Test when I'm exercising...but that never happens....so I'll try to find the problem myself. This is a good buy and works great. I would definitely recommend to a friend. On to the Peak Flow Meter next.

Easy
We used this oximeter the last month my mother was alive to help measure Oxygen. She had Stage 4 Lung Cancer though she didn't smoke. Anyway, it was easy for us to use and put our mind at ease many times when we weren't sure how much she could handle. For example, she'd use it after going up the stairs to see if it had improved/hindered her levels. It was easy to use right out of the box and in her favorite color.

Works Great!
After being hospitalized, when my mother-in-law returned home her doctor had ordered low flow oxygen for her 24/7. She balked at having to sleep with the canula and decided she 'didn't need the O2 over night'. After the pusle/ox arrived and she saw the readings the next few mornings she decided that sleeping with the O2 was not so bad after all. The unit works just fine. I like the auto turn-off feature. Took it to her last doctor's appointment the the readings were identical to the med staff's meter.

Better than I hoped for...
I purchased this pulse oximeter in order to monitor my wife's saturation when the hospital removed the equipment in her room... I was very pleased when I placed this oximeter on my wife's finger while the hospital equipment was still hooked up, both pieces of equipment provided the exact readings. Put my mind at ease. I would definately recommend this oximeter to anyone wanting to monitor their own or a loved one's oxygen saturation and pulse.
