ZOICEther Short - 12" Inseam + 9" Essential Liner Men's Mountain Bike Cycling Shorts

It’s always tricky buying cloths online, without having the opportunity to feel the material and quality in person. These shorts are the perfect example of that. After opening the package I popped the button open and the rivet immediately failed. I didn’t even have a chance to test fit them.

As other reviewers may prefer the Ether over the Black Market shorts, I don't. The Ether length come right down to the knee where the Black Market hangs a couple inches shorter. The outer shell of the Ether is stiffer than the Black Market but not uncomfortable. The liner is the same for both and is a quality liner that does it's job without being overly bulky. Overall, a good bike short that is comfortable to ride in.

I've bought 3 pairs of these shorts. I like the fit and styling which is comfortable for trail riding but also unobtrusive and generic enough (They don't scream "cycling geek!") to not look too "goofy" when walking into a store after the ride. They are well-constructed and come with good padded undershorts with loops that attach to the shorts with two small straps at the back. With both velcro and a sturdy snap at the front, you don't have to worry about them coming undone as you ride, even if you have a bit of a gut like I do.

Nice overall design, nice fabric, but horrible zippers. Right side lower pocket and zipper on fly malfunctioned soon after purchase. The zippers came off the other mated half, making them unusable. For a while I could "manually" remate the two halves, but now the fly zipper halves will not remate. I treat my stuff real well so probably failed because of small, weak, and cheap zipper quality. Too bad, because the shorts do have a mostly well-functioning design. $80 is a lot to pay for a pair of shorts whose zippers don't work.

These are perfect for my husband ... He loves to ride but will not wear the regular bike shorts. This allows him to be fashionable without wearing the typical road bike shorts.

Comfortable fit and useful pockets

Good shorts overall, were a little smaller than I expected but not too bad. My main complaint is that the liner gets worn down after a few months. Certainly gets the job done well enough, but I would look into a better one down the line as the seems started to split. Still the shorts themselves are nice and work great.
