Elegant and dirt cheapConcepts are explained using best possible examples.Best part of this book as compared to other books is that it has no errors and that is something very important. As one wrong example can ruin the whole understanding.Must have for every Physics student

This is book is nothing but THE COMPLETE SOLUTIONS OF IRODOV!! The author doesn't mention it, but each question in the book is exactly same (with question number) as that of Irodov.

This, I am giving a honest comment. I have purchased these two sets of books, which is, just nothing but the solutions of I. E Irodov physics Book. All problems of Irodov are not there, but approx 80% problems with solutions are there. It has got some additional problems, and there solutions, which are not available in Irodov. The book prints the questions asked in Irodov, and right below its solutions. The interesting thing is that, it has given multiple solutions, even upto method-4 to 6, in various problems. The point is that, the author shows his proficiency, strength of understanding in Physics. This book is only good for JEE Adv. only. Not suitable for JEE Main. It is good for Olympiad also. Whether for a student to see, two three types of solutions just before JEE Adv., required lots of time, hence may confuse student also. Further the two sets of these books cost total Rs. 1300/-, as on 01.06.2020, which is expensive and not worthy for exam purposes.No doubt the book is brilliant, who loves Physics, but in exam , in short time span, real brilliant can fail also, specially, when the subject is Physics.Cheaper price solution books of Irodov are available in markets, which are also good, but you will not get multiple solutions like this book. So, decision is yours.

I had the greatest fortune of being a student of Neelam Sir back in the late nineties. Since then, we students had "secretly" wished for him to document his knowledge and unique teaching style for the larger community to know and get benefited.I am really glad to see that post his informal retirement from teaching, our beloved mentor has finally taken up the task to write a series of books on Physics (particularly helpful for competitive exam preparation).In this first of his books, he marvellously displays that exact uniqueness of problem-solving that he would bring to the classroom back then.It isn't just the crisp problem-solving techniques that we learnt from him, but also imbibed the "art of reasoning" which eventually helped us take logical decisions later on in life, beyond the realm of Physics.No wonder when I picked up this book recently after about 25 years, I could still smoothly solve some of the most difficult problems from Irodov.With gratitude, and best wishes for loads of success for upcoming editions!!

A Masterpiece. Best book ever.After seriously going through the book I would like to share my thoughts about it:1. The author teaches all the concepts in depth, and logically.2. This book is useful for all kinds of students, weak or bright, and covers most of the competitive physics examinations familiar to students. Students who are weak in physics will be able to build a strong foundation as this book regularly questions the fundamentals and builds on it. On the other hand, bright students are challenged with every question as it is fairly difficult with many solutions to one question.3. The author keeps asking very insightful questions frequently.4. Solving simple mathematical problems and simultaneous equations are mostly left to the students whereas other authors waste a lot of time and pages and end up writing an unreasonably thick book. This is very helpful for the students.5. The book contains ample diagrams which are very illustrative and detailed. This becomes very advantageous for the students to picturize any given concept easily.6. Treatment of velocity of approach, rotational motion, hydrodynamics, surface tension, capillarity, etc is much better than any book in the country.7. Solutions of problems 1.129 and 2.3 are really impressive. I love the rigour of the author as he doesn't overlook anything or leave anything to chance.8. In conclusion, this book does wonders in shaping the mind of a student and is way more effective than spending lakhs on tuition.
