Luminox watches are designed to handle any sort of environment at any given moment. Every Luminox watch uses a self-powered system of illumination which allows the watch to glow continuously for 25 years while having a much brighter illumination system.

Very happy with the watch.
So far really like the watch. Both controls for the chrono use screw down controls which i wasn’t expecting, but imagine that they are like that to offer better protection if used for diving. Love the subtle hint of red incorporated in the chrono.Went with the plastic strap as I have had the 4200 with a metal band and the plating rubs off quite easily. Will order a NATO strap for this to help protect the watch from getting lost ( less chance of falling off) and I think it just looks better. The luminous indicates don’t require your to “charge” them with light prior to use. They provide the user with the ability to see the time in pitch darkness. Also like the the metal casing for this watch which adds to its strength. Also like the dual numbers for the calendar. Definitely a no frills watch but it offers the user a fail safe experience. If you need a watch that you can count on working in harsh conditions this is a good contender. Also worth mentioning is the sapphire glass which resists scratches.

Beautiful Watch. But, is it an open box?
Watch is beautiful! Looks Great! And, always Visable! Only thing, I think this item may have been an open box item? The rapper around the watch box was scotch tapped together? And, the manual that came with it was for another model of watch? So, not sure if I got ripped off? I still love the watch and I was able to download the correct cronograph manual on line.

Great watch, great price
Been searching for a Luminox Chrono 4241 for awhile. Took a chance buying through Amazon versus directly with Luminox. So far, it's been a great choice. Great watch, great value, sharp looking watch.

The manual doesn't match the timepiece.
This was to be my 3rd Luminox chrono. However, when a buyer drops $500 on a timepiece, there are certain, and finally disqualifying, expectations which were unmet. 1.The carrying case probl'y costs $100 and is useless. 2.The wrap around the timepiece appeared to be a 'redo'. 3.The owner manual was for the 3080 series, therefore never mentioned the screwon crown or the subtle setting for the date. The good part was the "free return" process was effortless.
