Great solution!
Perfect inexpensive solution for converting our older tv without an HDMI outlet to allow us to use a FireStick and thus stream all of our favorite shows. Thanks for a seamless and easy solution!

Great for backward compatibility
This was awesome at first. Then I had sound issues with no sound and just static. Found that if I unplugged the 5V power it resolved the issue. Then it happened twice more so I just reseated the HDMI plug.

Converted older non-smart TV signal from digital to analog.
Bought this adapter to connect a new fire stick to an older LCD, non-smart tv without HDMI ports. It has older red, white, and yellow (audio/video) composite ports.Simple install -1. Connected the red, white, and yellow composite cables into the back of the TV, noting the ‘AV-In’ option I selected (my options were AV 1-In, AV 2- In, and AV 3-In). I chose ‘AV 2-In’.2. Connected the fire stick into the other end of the adapter box and wall outlet.3. On the side of the adapter box I selected NTSC for my specific geographical location (North America). Plugged the additional electrical cable provided into the side of the adapter box and wall outlet.4. Under TV ‘Menu’ options, I located the ‘Input/Source’ setting and selected the same ‘AV In’ option I used, where I attached the red white yellow cables (AV 2-In). The firestick then began loading apps on the TV. Followed onscreen fire stick installation instructions. The picture is clear and audio is great! Highly recommend adapter at this price point!

It does everything except stay connected!!
This was the second one of these I purchased. So much better (and cheaper) than buying a new smart TV, I thought. The first one lasted forever, and I loved it. So when it finally died, I decided to buy another one immediately based on the success I’d had with the first one. No such luck this time. The performance has been extremely poor with the second one. Technically it DOES work, but it freezes regularly, disconnects on a whim, restarts whenever it feels like it, hums loudly, and shows a gigantic thermometer on my tv screen from time to time after it disconnects. I thought maybe I’d gotten a defective unit, but now that I am reading other reviews, I see that other purchasers are describing problems similar to mine, so the problem is systemic with this product. So, I will not order another one, nor will I recommend that anyone else buy one either.

Adapter
I have a 1960 Phillips 25" tv. I was using Spectrum cable box over 8 years at $15.00 monthly rental because you can't have a reception without it. Finally decided to buy a Roku Express for $40 and worked perfect

Good news Bad news.
Worked exactly how as advertised ... for 30 days on the nose then the audio went out. unlike some models the 3 RCA cables are built in so could not just replace them had to buy another converter of another brand. but $9.99 for 3o days of Roku as well as sling was worth it but more importantly found out my old CRT TV was Roku capable, that was priceless, But go with a more expensive brand... better off in the long run.
