At first we were concerned. The Amazon ad said the manufacturer's recommended age was 3+, perfect for our 3 year old grandson who is a fan of the Bumblebee character. Unfortunately the box say six, obviously not visible in the Japanese box shown in the ad pictures. There is no manual. The package had been opened then crudely taped closed, probably a return. The plastic display window had torn away from the cardboard box. We purchased it with Amazon Prime as a new item. It arrived two days before his birthday party,so it was too late to get something different.HOWEVER, when I decided to open it and install the batteries, everything went well. Car power is from a rechargeable battery with a USB charging cable included. A red light goes on when it is charging. We used a USB port on our computer. Then clip the charged battery to the connection inside the car.The remote controller takes two AA batteries. The inside of the battery compartment has marks to show the correct orientation. To open the cover, unscrew the small screw and lift under the latch. Insert the batteries and close the cover.Operation is easy. Turn the car upside down and turn the slide switch to on. Set the car right side up on smooth floor. and try the joysticks. One turns the wheels, the other controls forward and backward. The two square buttons are for transformation and fast running speed. Our only concern here was it did not stay open, it opens, speaks, then closes.

My 6 year old son watched and episode of "Hobby kids" on youtube and absolutely fell in love with this toy from the kid's review! It was the only thing he wanted from Santa this last christmas. Unfortunately since hobby kids are from the U.K. it was hard to find this from a local U.S. seller or atleast one that would arrive in time for christmas. By chance I found this here on Amazon and was eligible for my Prime shipping. I spent about $70 and got it a week before Christmas! It exceeded my expectations and was WELL WORTH WHAT I PAID! Quality product and extremely satisfied child.

Was just kind of cheap and battery doesn't last long

It looked cheap in the packaging but once out, it was a very durable and well built toy. My grandson absolutely LOVES it!

Im sure my nephew will love this. But 70 verses 50 today is not fair. pricematch for me and ill not cancel the order.

Got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. It had not broken yet in spite at year old and a2 year old being the ones to play with it
