Simple design, but surprisingly effective. I purchased to make some simple angled cuts and it worked perfectly. The only alternative I could see to this would be either an expensive one by one of the higher end brands or making one myself. And I don't know that anything I made in the shop would have been much better. My only complaint is the hardware can slip if you don't get it tight. I might try to either replace a screw or two. Or maybe figure up a block I can clamp in. Still, it is a good solution at an inexpensive price.

It works fine if you taper one or two sides of a leg. You run into difficulties if you want to taper all four sides. I don't know if it is just me or my ignorance is boundless.

My rating is so high, not because this sled's complexity, but because of it's simplicity and the function it performs.As long as the material you're shaping doesn't exceed the length of the sled, this is the only type of device that will do the job.Very easy to adjust, although it takes 3 additional minutes to switch between left and right hand cuts. Easy to understand directions and uncomplicated design using materials that will stand prolonged home shop use.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to like this thing, but its not made very well. I was trying to adjust the scale in the video and the screw stripped out. It was only my second adjustment ever made to it since I owed it. There is quite a lot of slop in it also. I would like to return it and find one that is made with attention to detail. It can work, but for how long and with what accuracy is questionable. I hope this helps someone trying to decide.

For our need at this time this product is perfect. Not over sized and complicated with options we do not need, easy to use and accurate enough. We did, as you can see, have to extend the seat bracket at bottom.Father, Son & Holy Spirits Home Brewery

Good jig value wise for what else is out there.

Use a sharp blade so your not force feeding the cut, which you shouldn’t be any way.

I love this item. So simple to use but it works great. I've used it on many different table legs. Also you know that small piece that is out of square a very little bit and no matter what you try it's still out of square? Use this to help square it up. Do not try free handed cutting. That never works. This item will allow you to remove the exact amount you need to so the item will,square up. This is what if consider a must have in any shop.
