This case is built very well and really easy to work in. Every single issue I had previously working with the SuperPi case (for last gen’s Pi 3B+) has been addressed here with this Pi 4 Model B case. A warning to remove the micro SD card prior to putting the Pi in (written clearly on its own separate paper you must remove to do so - hard to miss), screws and parts clearly defined and easily identifiable, and superior build quality. All this for not much more than last gen’s retro case. The safe shutdown scripts and working power and reset buttons are still here and great if you’re building for less techy users that want a more plug and play experience. The controllers being bundled is a great value add, but they’re not the best quality. Not a dealbreaker by any means.

Was relatively easy to build. I had issues installing retropie and never really did sort it out. Went with a different option but that's no fault to the case itself. The materials are honestly very well done and it amazes me what you can get for $45. Even the controllers although they aren't terrific, are still very playable. You guys should know that retropie and other options support Bluetooth controllers. My mind was blown when I discovered this. But it really opens up your options. You won't regret building this, it's so cute and awesome.

I have had this case for a couple months now. Really enjoying it. Installation of the Pi does not take too much effort. Some spots where the internal wires are a little snug but still manageable. I have not had any major issues with it so far. Right now I have only used it for basic emulation and there has been no concern with the heat.The reason I could not give this a 5th star is due to the fact that the case, probably the position of the fan/heat sync, does seem to prevent me from using WiFi or Bluetooth. I had a spare nano WiFi adapter and can use that. Was not able to use my bluetooth keyboard as planned though. Since I am using this mostly for emulation and do not need the wireless options at this time, it was not an issue for me but could be for others.The script for the power/reset buttons is a nice touch if you are going for the classic NES feel. However, it is not needed for full use of the system. Without the script, the buttons still work. They just do not talk to the OS and trigger a safe shutdown before powering off. Not a big deal or loss if you are not comfortable with installing the script to your OS.Pros: Small, wonderfully nostalgic, works very well for almost everything, and the kit has pretty much everything you would need.Note: A little snug with one or two of the internal wires when installing but manageable. Easy to open back up if needed.Con: Case appears to block WiFi/Bluetooth which could be an issue depending on your usage. Don't need either to run emulation and use the USB controllers.Will update if anything in the near future changes.

Everything in this kit works great. No issues at all. Would purchase again.

All around well-built and designed! A classic look and includes everything you need to build a great retro-pi. Just add your raspberry pi and do some simple setup!Excellent kit!

So doing some research seems to be two versions of this being sold. I think I received a 1st generation. As you see in the pictures, the box and the front of the unit has 2 white USB ports. Both of them are USB 2 only. They make another version that has one white and one blue where the that is one USB 2 and one USB 3 port on the front. Also this version came with 3 chipset heatsinks and a tiny fan to mount in the top instead of the nice bigger heatsink fan combo. This wouldn't be all bad if it at least had the external USB 3 port. This listing clearly shows the USB3 port in the pictures hence the reason I ordered it. I have reached out to the seller to see if this can be corrected or if i'm just going to send this back.Update: - So after doing so research, the one with the USB 3 port on the front is the old model. They removed the usb3 port and put 2 usb2 ports on the front instead. By default it doesn't come with any fan or heatsink anymore but this bundle does. the usb3 sata adapter seems more legit now using a usb3 connector in the cover instead of of the old style which just terminated individual wires into a connector onto a pcb. There were reports of wifi interference with the usb3 sata so I am guessing this helps resolve that by having shielding on the connector now.

This NESPi 4 case kit is really easy to assemble. All the screws and a screwdriver are included in the kit, so all you have to do is follow the included instructions. The cartridge allows for a standard thickness SSD, and includes the screws to secure the SSD in place. This is definitely a great value for the money.
