Wrong size
Way too small for what I needed. I can see why it's returned so often. Not sure what kind of quick coupler this is for. But it's not for the ones on the baseball field. I won't return it though. As a lesson to myself for ordering without reading descriptions. Good quality though. Solid brass.

Great sprinkler blow out valve adapter
perfect tool to blow out sprinklers. This makes blowing out the sprinklers in the fall very easy. Just close the water valve in the box and plug this thing into the blow out port. Saves time and doesn't risk damaging the back flow valve.

Limping Along a 1959 Sprinkler System
My church has been trying to limp along our sprinkler system (a la 1959). Nobody can find these kinds of inserts anymore, and I was so glad to see them on Amazon! They were installed in fall and will be used again in spring, but they tested well and seem to get the job done. Thank you, vendor!

This particular set is of lighter (thinner) metal than the other 6 that I have.
The product is used for watering a fairly large grass area at a church. Impulse sprinklers are attached to the Quick coupler keys and adjusted before turning on the main water valve. Or if you don't mind getting wet, you can leave the main water valve on and just plug in the quick coupler keys, then adjust the impulse sprinkler.

Do not buy! Outside threads on hose key are NPT, not Hose Threads
As stated, in the title, the outside threads on the hose key are male hose threads (14 TPI) NOT garden hose threads (11.5 TPI). The inside threads on the key are 1/2” FPT. To connect a garden hose to the key, you’ll have to get an adapter from 1/2” FPT to MHT (Male Hose Thread)) the threads in the valve are 3/4” NPT but they’re machines without a taper, so use plenty of thread sealant. You may find that the Male fitting threads too far into the body of the connection and forces the valve shut when it's threaded in all the way and the valve is fully opened. IMO, the threading problems are a pretty significant design fail. Unless you're willing to tinker to make this work you're better off with Orbit or Rain Bird quick couplers. Edited to add: I was able to install the valve and seal the threads to prevent leaks, but the valve itself leaks. This was a complete waste of money and material resources.

Measurements are on the outside dimensions.
They are “exactly” as described. Measurement are from outside dimensions!!! Not from internal pipe pipe sizes as is normally the standard. I was fortunate that I had one of the small receivers that the device will work in. These will not deliver enough water to make a rotating sprinkler with a 1/4in outlet function properly. Misters and diverter sprinkler heads will work but the distance the water is thrown is significantly shortened due to the water flow rate allowed from the device. This device is made well and it does exactly as described, just make sure it is what you need.
