After some research I can confirm that shower filters do reduce fluoride. I would assume this one specifically does. If this doesn’t help, I would suggest asking the seller directly because they would definitely know the right answer. Hope This Helps.

Does the chrome outer have a replaceable filter inside it or is chrome unit a complete filter with no need to put a filter into it

The chrome outer already has one filter inside. You can buy a replacement filter for the future.

If this does remove limescale then why does the product not say so?

I can only say that the water is softer as we use less shower gel/products and the screen and taps have hardly any limescale deposits.
