"Easy, Affordable, Convenient"
Great product. Easy plug and play. No formatting, needed. I don't know how it works but, the hard drive is ready to go, as soon as plugged in. I've never seen a hard drive that didn't require formatting, after connected to a device... But, there it is. Magic, I guess. Of course, many of your devices will offer the option to format the hard drive, to that specific device. You can always do that, if you like... But, this hard drive does not require it. It works just the same, regardless, right from the go. I originally got this hard drive for my PS3. I wanted a 500GB... Ordered the 320GB, as it was the only one that showed up in the search. Turns out, this product doesn't show up in the search, with various storage sizes... You have to specifically type the desired storage size, in the search. I found that out, after I already ordered it. So... I used the 320GB one, I ordered, for my Xbox 360. I then ordered the 500GB for my PS3. For those consoles, nothing over 500GB is necessary. For PS4 and Xbox One, You're going to want a 1TB or more. Unfortunately, this product isn't produced in a storage size, over 3TB. It would be nice to see this product produced up to 8TB, in the future. As far as quality build... It's your standard hard drive. All is good. Highly recommended.

cant install ps3 games and play off of it
You cant install games to this drive and play games off of it instead of internal storage for ps3!

Can't format this thing to store PS3 games. No instructions on how to do so. Don't make the same mistake I did, folks. Save your money

i used this to get extra storage on my xbox and it worked right away but instead of 500 gb it gave me like 489 but thats okits worth🅿️🦧

BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I personally do not recommend this external hard drive. When I plugged it in to my PC it says that the device malfunctioned and I tried it many times but it did not work. I ended up having to buy a seagate external hard drive which actually works.
