Great puzzle, however not as pictured
This puzzle does not look like the puzzle in this picture, but that does not matter, it is still great. In the puzzle I got there is only one flower, the two antennas are unique shapes, the face has more definition to its shape, and the caterpillar has a mouth, but the big difference is in the body. There are two unique segments with one leg each in the front, and the final segment is unique as it has two legs. The rest of the body segments are all interchangeable and come in three colors. Plus all segments except for the final one also have a circle cutout in a contrasting color, these cutouts appear in different places so technically each piece is unique and if you look at the cheat sheet below the puzzle you can find the correct placement for each one, but my two and a half year old son doesn't really care about that. He also isn't quite at the level where he can arrange a pattern so pieces just go wherever he wants, but I like this added bit of creativity and feel like it will eventually teach him how to create patterns, something that he has been experimenting with lately. My son does love this puzzle, and while he is not quite two and a half it is fairly simple for him, although he can still improve on his ability to create patterns.

Excellent in a lot of ways - for 18 months and up
I absolutely love this puzzle. We got it for our 18 month old, and it was exactly what she needed. Within a day she was able to put the entire thing back together with supervision, and in less than a month she is doing the entire thing on her own. My five-year-old also enjoys seeing how quickly she can put the people back together with the background backwards creating a distraction.I am challenging myself to put it together blind-folded.Very sturdy. Plus, each piece has an individual place encouraging the player to be mindful of spacial awareness.

Soft, bright pieces, comes with yellow tray
The media could not be loaded. Love the bright colors and soft pieces. We actually have some of these Lauri puzzles from about 30 years ago. The trays were blue and they are still in good shape to this day. My aunt is a retired teacher and gave me her collection for my children. I have had them for about 5 years and just barely threw 2 away because they were stiff and pieces broke. I have 3 children and daughter #3 now uses them. They will last so long if taken care of. I just bought this butterfly one, an ice cream one and a flower one. Obviously the pieces will rip if you tug on them but if you don't abuse your stuff this puzzle could last you a really long time. My 3 year old daughter wanted this. Excited to give it to her. Comes with a nice plastic yellow tray.

Surprisingly, our *favorite* Lauri toy of all...
We almost didn't buy this since it seemed so simple. However, it has turned out to be our favorite Lauri puzzle. Our 2.5 year old absolutely loves this puzzle. While it might not tap construction/spatial skills in the same way as others, it pulls for and rewards focus, concentration and attention to detail. Best of all, you can play with it so many ways! Instead of just doing the puzzle you can:1) Take turns picking a piece and imitating the pose (a fun challenge for toddlers)2) Take turns creating a "sequence" of poses to make a crazy "dance"3) Sort by color4) Talk about the ideas of columns and rows and/or waiting in a line4) Match the "girl" and the "boy" with the same pose (not all of the poses have a match)5) Take some of the little people in the bathtub to play with tub toys (boats, fish, etc.). The don't hold water and get moldy! Finally, we are happy that this puzzle ay is *real* Lauri crepe unlike some of their newer stuff from China. Perhaps they have realized that the smaller pieces are too easily deformed to use the thinner, less dense version.

Durable and bright colors!
These are very durable and my grandchildren love them. I still have some Lauri puzzles from 30 years ago that my son used and now my grandchildren play with them. My 2 yr. old granddaughter and five year old granddaughter that has down syndrome can do these and love them!

Fantastic puzzle for a two and a half year old
My almost 2 and a half year old son absolutely loves this puzzle. He's been doing 12 piece wood jigsaw puzzles. I've been unhappy with how the wood pieces fit together and splinters, so I decided to get him this, and since it has even more pieces I figured it might be more challenging. It turns out the extra pieces don't make it harder, the fact that they are very unique shapes make it fairly simple, but he loves the puzzle none the less. He figured out that it should be bumpy side up all on his own, and can easily recognize pieces when the puzzle taken apart, for example, he loves to point out which piece is the headlight.I've been very happy with the puzzle, and of course being rubber it is easy to put together, doesn't splinter, and is incredibly durable.

Nice Intermediate Difficulty
This is a nice Lauri puzzle. It has a more pieces than the basic puzzles, but all of the oval shaped pieces are interchangeable so this makes a great intermediate puzzle. The thing I don't like are that on this particular puzzle, the orange and yellow oval shaped pieces don't sit flush. The crepe rubber is slightly thicker than the other pieces on the puzzle. That is the only thing really wrong with this puzzle. Otherwise all of the pieces mesh up well.I also am disappointed that Lauri puzzles are now made in China instead of the USA.
