Very good book for JEE ADVANCED, but mostly Carries irodov soloutions .

In my 20 years of teaching career of IIT JEE. I have never seen a book like this

Amazing book for IITJEE

A Masterpiece. Best book for IITJEE.After seriously going through the book I would like to share my thoughts about it:1. The author teaches all the concepts in depth, and logically.2. This book is useful for all kinds of students, weak or bright, and covers most of the competitive physics examinations familiar to students. Students who are weak in physics will be able to build a strong foundation as this book regularly questions the fundamentals and builds on it. On the other hand, bright students are challenged with every question as it is fairly difficult with many solutions to one question.3. The author keeps asking very insightful questions frequently.4. Solving simple mathematical problems and simultaneous equations are mostly left to the students whereas other authors waste a lot of time and pages and end up writing an unreasonably thick book. This is very helpful for the students.5. The book contains ample diagrams which are very illustrative and detailed. This becomes very advantageous for the students to picturize any given concept easily.6. Treatment of electrostatics, motion of charged particles in electric and magnetic fields, simple harmonic motion, wave optics, is way superior to any other book.7. Solutions of some of the very difficult problems in oscillation are really ingenious and interesting. The author artistically solves such difficult problems orally and makes it seem easy.8. In conclusion, this book does wonders in shaping the mind of a student and is way more effective than spending lakhs on tuition.

The book is filled with simple and smart solutions. It many times, saved me from tedious integration. Diagrams are so illustrative that you can imagine the solution from it. By solving problems like 1.12, 1.13, and 1.16, I got the feel of what approach velocity is. One of the areas that troubled me was projectile motion but the 1.29 is such an enlightening problem that I am able to solve ANY problem in projectile motion now. These concepts are newly engrained in my head. After learning the solution of problem 1.33, I had my Eureka moment! No book explains that one better. Problem 1.106 was the real test of my fundas, the solution provided is extremely beautiful. No book or teacher can explain motion in a vertical circle as in 1.85. I can now imagine and visualize the problem before even touching the pen. Problem 1.81 makes all concepts of mechanics clear. This single problem is a life saver.My physics sir solved these problems in class, but it was very lengthy ( 3 page solution). The author has done it in half page. Brilliant book and smartest solutions!

My analysis after reading these two books:-1. These unique books are problem solving books, textbooks, and testing books combined in one. They make a complete package.2. The books cover the JEE syllabus intensively and extensively.3. The style, content, language, diagram, images are international standard and take problem solving skills and concepts to perfection. Along with usual methods, there are innumerable ingenious techniques.4. At a few places, the author has skipped mathematical steps which should have been written. Students may have difficulty in bridging the gap.5. Author suggests to solve a few problems (eg. 3.115, 3.118, 3.122, 3.124, 3.125, 3.181, 3.183, 3.221, 3.227, 3.228) orally in 30 seconds or so. These problems are fairly difficult. Can students solve them orally and using the concepts and formulae they know or are there advanced concepts and techniques? Author should have written how to solve them orally.6. By and large, the best physics book by any writer in India.

The Art of Problem Solving in Physics (Volume 2) is meant for those Students who are Preparing for Competitive Examinations such as JEE (Advanced), KVPY and Physics Olympiads.The book is divided into 15 chapters. It basically provides Multiple Solutions to Selected Problems of the book "Problems in General Physics" by IE Irodov. Solutions to only those problems have been provided which are relevant for JEE (Advanced). The product is great. Best book for preparation of JEE Advanced, NEST IISER entrances and other research releated exams. Never buy if you are preparing for NEET or JEE Mains or BITSAT..... Can't rate 5 stars because book was a slightly damaged when I received it.
