excellent book
i wanted to add some breakfalls/throws/grappling ...to my karate and taeekwwondo...withooouut going overboard at first i bought ttoo many books..and ended up with iinforrmation overload/paraylsis but tthen i realizzeed ii only need 2 bbooks.... sam furys book onn ground ffiigghting...and this one...judo basic principes....by eric domiiny.... thats alll u need if u want it ffor same piurpose as me... out off the judo books ii iinitiiallyy collectted...this is the best one too

Great introduction to Judo
This book is a great introduction to basic Judo techniques. It sorts the throws by type (ankle, shoulder etc), and has clear drawings to show the execution of techniques. Recommended. But it is not a ”bible” of all things Judo. 5 stars.

Awesome information
As a bJJ black belt this book is an amazing resource to learn from. It’s got great history, basic moves and gives a lot of background info. Would recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about judo!

Clear Explanation of Concepts
I got this as a Jiu Jitsu practitioner wanting to understand the fundamental concept of Judo to broaden and deepen my game. I found the examples and illustrations in the book helpful and clear.
