Cheap, simple and seems to work...
Cheap and seemingly accurate...taking the calibration on faith, but I'm just looking for the order of magnitude and first significant digit from this. Passes the common-sense test when I tried it. Simple and easy to operate.

For the price, it works pretty good!
This is about the cheapest light meter I could find on AZN and I have to say that it was well packaged, NOT USED like some older reviews said, and works pretty well. I can not guarantee the accuracy because I have no way to test that, however, it is perfect for comparing different bulbs and light fixtures for brightness.

Good for the price, seems accurate enough
I have no way to calibrate or validate this device, but it seems relatively accurate. When compared to the lux meter on my phone, the numbers are relatively close (same order of magnitude at least) and I'd trust this device over a phone lux meter.I do wish that the little panel that covers up the dome was somehow connected to the meter, through a piece of rubber or something, or that the cover slid down the back. Something that kept it with the device, so that you didn't have to carry around/keep track of it while using the meter. It is pretty amazing to compare light levels in different environments. Since humans see light more or less logarithmically, we don't notice nearly the same discrepancy in light intensity. A regular room may be 100 lux, shade outside may be 25000 lux.In any case, for the price, it's a good little lux meter. It's a bit of a novelty, useful for checking if your plants are getting enough light, using it as a photography light meter, things like that.

This meter is very easy to use and seems reliable
This meter is very easy to use and seems reliable. You have to be careful that the white meter sensor is facing directly up if you are attempting to get light measurements from above. We ordered several of these to use in an Ecology course, and our students didn't have any trouble. One of the units came with a malfunctioning screen, but the seller Leaton Direct was extremely prompt and helpful in swapping it out for a new one. I agree with the other reviews about this being a much more affordable option than other.

Great Item!
Works as described and helped me determine the right brightness for my grow lights.

Janky and cheap, but it works
I wouldn’t trust this in a lab setting, but works for on site lighting evaluation.

Buy it. It works. Battery has lasted more than a year.
Gives steady readings that make sense. I don't have any other equipment to verify it's readings.

A very nice little meter
A very nice little meter, works great for the purpose I needed it for (determine brightness of lit LED tubes for comparison purposes).I'd probably rate this at like 4.5 out of 5, the main gripe being that the actual lux meter is pointing straight up, so that you have to hold the device at weird angles depending on what you are measuring. I think it would be better if the meter was facing out the top so you could read the values while pointing at the light source. I suppose this isn't an issue if the light source is up on the ceiling but that isn't the case for me.Despite that I'm quite happy with this purchase and do recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable lux meter to measure light outputs of different objects for comparison purposes.

Does the job just fine.
Fairly basic really, but does the job just fine.Feels OK in hand, just typical plastic but OK. Comes with detacheable, hard sensor cover - very toughtfull. The 9V battery came included in the box.2 updates per second, response time is ~2sec. displays result in lux and "fc". I cannot comment on accuracy because i do not have a reference. The only function is "hold", and the only output is LCD screen, so one cannot use it as long term data recorder. For the price, the value is not outstanding, but i can say I am satisfied.
