Easy to use and a good deterrent
The product works pretty well as far as i can tell! The controls are pretty straight foreword, just input your desired lock time and press the power button twice. An indictor light comes on and a ten second countdown starts so you have a chance to back out if you want. The clear plastic top only gets secured in one place though, so might not stop someone desperate for their phone. Otherwise, works as a good deterrent from using my phone, but lets me access some things if absolutely necessary. In my opinion its best for those who just need the extra push to put the phone down, but might not be an end all type solution

Works for intended purpose
This thing is no joke. If you want to help productivity and Improve your phone addiction this is it. Once you set the timer and lock it up there is no turning back. Not that I’ve learned anyways. Love that it does have accessible holes for charging and having phone answering capabilities for any emergency or urgent calls. Would recommend!

It does stop phone use IF you can find the willpower to lock it away, product improvement possible
After having a chance to use it, I can confirm that for myself that once it's locked away, I don't use it late at night or try to grab my phone at my desk. The biggest issue though is having the willpower to put it in the box in the first place, let alone setting it to lock away for many hours (can be set to go up to 99 hours and 59 minutes). Thus the one feature I feel it's missing is a clock. I wish I could set it to "hey every day at 10:00pm set it to lock for 8 hours". You either lock it away at night at the exact same time every night or lose having a place to keep your phone away from you for the night and risk knowing you'll be using it in due time. Having such a feature would encourage good behavior and the willpower to lock it before it locks itself with nothing in it. Considering that one needs to physically lock a phone away from them to be able to stay away from it, its not a bad feature to see included. 5 stars if the next version comes with that.Things I Appreciate:[] I like that it stores memory of how long you've set the timer from the last time you locked it so that you can easily restart the same time again, great for an hour or so lock session followed by a few min break and so on.[] It comes included with both a USB C and a lightning charging port which is a nice touch. The manual states it will take 4 hours to fully charge with a blue light that goes away when it's fully charged. It felt shorter than 4 hours though so that's nice.[] The fact that if you wanted to, you could grab it by the hollow parts and tear the plastic cover off with force to get to your phone does not concern me as much as one would think since doing so would be admitting defeat to your own bad habits and require spending the time and money to acquire a new one. And that's been enough of an inconvenience for me to make it something I'd personally consider unlikely to find myself doing, but it's something to consider if you'd be willing to go that far yourself to get to that phone since it's sturdy enough but not sturdy enough to prevent you from tearing it open if you wanted to.Dimensions of the lock box itself are roughly: 18.5cm*8.75cm*1.6cm

Want to quit your phone addiction?
This works great for starting to quit your phone. My personal steps were:1) use this at night and set it to unlock a few minutes before your first morning alarm.2) After a week of use, start deleting your most used apps. For this to work, you have to be able to use another device for entertainment such as your computer. This is because you will be tempted to stop using the lockbox if you don't have another source of entertainment. While this might sound like you are only changing one addiction for another, the inconvenience of a heavier device should keep you from overusing it.After a month of following this plan, you should find yourself forgetting about your phone. This has helped me reconnect with my partner after years of mostly ignoring each other.

TaiZhou vs iDiskk = iDiskk wins
The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to like the TaiZhou timer box; its design had a cool/modern look to it. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t fit my iPhone 11 with the case on (Otterbox’s Commuter case). It’s not deep enough and barely fits width-wise anyway. I’m not changing cases just to fit this, so I must return the TaiZhou model. On the other hand, iDiskk’s Timer Phone Locker fits rather well with the case still on! It also allows 100 hours of time if I wanted an extended weekend fast from my phone. The only downside is I’m not a fan of the design (it looks kind of clunky) but I can live with it.Overall, if your phone and case is thinner (less than 1/2”) and 12 hours suits you well, then get the TaiZhou. For everyone else, the iDiskk is best (design aside).

Works great for what is needed
The product keeps me from using my phone as advertised. There is a way to unlock it for emergencies which is by pressing the up hour button 10 times. People complain about this but you can only do this 5 times for emergencies. Once you use all 5 chances that option won't work anymore, so use them wisely. If you want it to be unlock able then use up the 5 chances and you will have an non-unlockable box until the timer runs out. I think the counter resets after the battery is dead. Have gotten there yet. Will update and let folks know when I do.

Emergency unlock stopped working
I’ve been using this for months without issue but all of a sudden the emergency unlock stopped working. I literally had to tear the damn box apart to get my phone back. I know the point of this is that you’re not supposed to be able to open it so you can’t use your phone at certain times. Thing is for me my days and nights are pretty unpredictable and sometimes I need to get my phone out earlier than the timer so I was glad it had the emergency unlock feature. but then it just stopped working when I needed it.
