Does the job
Wanted to replace some plastic spinlocks on my old York dumbbells as the plates would come loose during use. These spinlocks are well machined and fit on the bars easily. When tightened fully the plates stay put when in use. The metal spinlocks are also heavier than I thought which is a bonus for me.

Too big. Soft spring.
Not sure why everyone is saying these are too small. They're too big on my standard 1" bar. Just slide on and off easily with no grip at all. They are about 24mm, my bar is roughly the same. Surely if they're going on a 1" bar they need to be 22 or 23mm maximum to have any chance of holding a heavy weight securely. They are also extremely easy to squeeze open - some reviewers are saying they are too difficult to squeeze. They're not. They're very soft. I can open using two fingers.

2 sets for price of 1 other brands.
Tried these as half the price of other brands. They are a tight fit and you may need a Ninja death grip to release them, but not a bad thing for safety I suppose. They fit 1" standard size Body Power bars and the York lat pull down machine, if a tad tight, but are way too small for the York leg attachment on a 540 bench bizarrely, but maybe that's just a York manufacturing fault? The black plastic grips are long enough at 4cm for decent leverage and they have 3 coils of spring, compared to the usual 2 of others, which possibly makes them much tighter than other ones I have.

They're Useless
I rarely give a 1 star review, but I'm having issues with my dumbell set. The spinlocks slide out of place afeter a single set of reps. I bought these in the thought that I could double up on the spinlocks and that would solve the issue, it doesn't! They're useless!!!I'm wondering if metal spinlocks would be better?

Rubbish.
You know what they say, buy cheap and you'll need to buy again. That's the case with these clips. They're so tight you need Herculean strength to use them. They're too tight and belong in the bin. Not good, not good at all.

1 inch diameter clips.
1inch diameter clips.Exactly what I ordered.Sure they get a little difficult to take off after many times of putting them on and off while working out, but I havent come across a clip which doesn't have that problem.5/5

Sturdy collars
Bought these to replace a couple of spin lock collars I had got with a set of dumbells that had worn out. These ones were higher quality and more sturdy. Great product

These are very good quality metal collars
Bought two pairs of these to replace the cheap plastic collars that came with my York dumbbell set. These are very good quality metal collars; they spin on and off very easily but still hold your discs on without coming loose. They also have the added bonus of being surprisingly heavy.
