My daughter is currently studying her AS-Level and GCSE Computer Science courses and, being a big fan of these CGP books, we got her the Complete Revision & Practice book and this one, The Revision Guide, to help her with her studies. Although these tend to be more targeted towards the exam, they are also very useful during term time as well.This book arrived in good condition and consisted of a 82- page A4 book with semi hard cardboard cover. This covers the new syllabus for all grades 1-9.The book is split into the following 7 sections:1. Algorithms2. Programming3. Design & Testing4. Data Representation5. Computer Systems & Databases6. Networks7. IssuesAt the end of Section 7 are two Practice Papers, Answers, Glossary and Index.Each topic is easily located with clear headings. Different areas are laid out in boxes containing clearly written explanations, with the important words underlined. At the end of each section are “Revision Questions” for that section.At the end of the book, you also have the opportunity to work through the practice exam papers.The book also includes a code to access the online edition, so it can be read on a laptop/PC, tablet/iPad or even a mobile phone. Which is a very useful resource in this day and age.This is an extremely easy to use Revision guide, everything is laid out clearly and explained well. The book can also help support the student during term times as well, particularly if they have tests. Also, I find them useful to help understand what my daughter is studying and engage/help her where I can. I have a number of CGP revision books and I have always been impressed with the quality of them.This is no expectation.This book is for AQA GCSE.It covers everything topic from* algorithms* programming* data representation* networks* design and testing* computer systems and databases* issuesEach topic has detailed revision notes,At the end of each chapter there is a check list with quick revision questions so you see if you have learnt what you have just covered, you can then tick them off so you can keep track on what you know and what you still need to learn from each topic.There is also a handy glossary at the end of the book with key words.Overall this is a highly quality and informative book which will hugely benefit students while studying the subject and also in the lead up in taking there GCSE.Excellent quality at a reasonable low price which makes this study book easily affordable and a must have.

This is an excellent GCSE revision guide for AQA Computer Science, a subject that my son is currently studying for his GCSEs. He's due to take his exams next year.With the covid-19 impact on children's studies over the last year, with several months of impact likely to come, it's important that every child be given the full opportunity to have everything available to help them. This guide is a must have for all, helping to teach, understand and revise for next year's exams.Having used this publisher's books for my daughter, who took her GCSEs last year and did extremely well, I didn't hesitate to order this and other books for my son's current GCSE studies. The revision subjects are set out nice and clearly, making learning better for all.Highly recommended, as are all of this publisher's revision and study guides.

This was ordered for someone studying GCSE Computer Science. CGP books are always reliable in both style and content which is helpful for anyone studying. It is set into 7 separate sections and has practice papers at the end. This book comes complete with answers. It is the perfect way to revise in just 82 pages. The glossary and index pages are also very helpful to reinforce key vocabulary. An excellent revision resource.

I found this revision guide very good. All the pages are filled with revision and exam tips, colour diagrams, drawings, worked examples.All the text/explanations/instructions were written in easy to understand language and accompanied by diagrams/drawings, so I can quickly get to grip with difficult concepts.At the back of the guide, there is a glossary and index section which is particular helpful to me. I use it to locate subjects of interest.An free online edition is included, so I can learn on the move.I would recommend this revision guide to you.

With very intermittent teaching and examining activities in the current climate, getting on and studying on your own is essential. The GCSE books have been excellent for a long time and this does combine with an online edition which expands the topics. For instance, only Python is discussed in this book- the alternative set languages of C# and VB.NET are only available as an online text. Get through the course and be prepared to sit a non standard timetabled exam from the outset.

Lots of worked examples, lots of chance to practise exam-type questions. Clearly laid out, accessible and extremely useful. Great value revision aid. Recommended by schools. Fantastic

This is a fairly thin book at 88 pages. A4 sized paperback written for the GCSE Computer Science AQA Revision Guide for exams in 2022 and beyond. So this revision guide is bang up to date.Makes good use of colour to highlight important areas. Everything the student will need is here. Best to use alongside class notes and a good textbook. Online version too. Very much a computer science revision book. The practice version will need to be obtained for the complete revision and practice help.Overall excellent for the price.
