Finally one that works at a reasonable cost!
this is a good choice for a OBD reader. I have tried over a dozen of these and all the cheap ones are junk. There is one for $150 that works well, but $150 is crazy expensive. This one works great with my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. So far bluetooth has been stable on this one too. I have not tried using an android App, but my main interest was in turning on the reverse camera on my radio, and it did that just fine.

Great little tool to have!
I've never used such a thing as this before, but decided to give it a try after my dealership wanted a small fortune to program anything new I added to my truck. After bypassing the Security Gateway, this little device connects immediately to my phone and from there, I can do whatever I need to in a matter of seconds. I highly recommend giving it a try and saying goodbye to greedy dealer service departments forever.

Works with iOS and Car Scanner app
It works with Car Scanner app on my iPhone 11 no problem. Pulled Check Engine codes and Readiness Monitor status in no time. It also works with tesLAX app pulling Tesla CAN messages at about 600 msgs/sec. Five stars!

Definitely better than the cheaper models
I initially bought a different, less expensive ELM327 OBDII module to use with Torque and while it connected fine to my Volvo, it wouldn't ever talk to the ECU on my family's Mercedes or Honda, which meant it was good for one car only in the household.Finally bit the bullet and bought this guy, and voila, it's able to connect to all the ECUs just fine. I think it's faster to connect to the Volvo, too.The only thing about this unit is that the button is a bit mystifying, I'm still not sure *exactly* what it does or how to use is most efficiently. I basically just powered up Torque and smashed the button a lot until they finally connected, and haven't had any issues talking with Bluetooth since then, but that initial connection with a random button felt a bit sketchy.

You have to click and wait for Android connection before use. It works good.
