Works as expected

Used this check valve as a backflow preventer on the discharge line on the 3/8 water softener to prevent backflow contamination straightforward installation. The cost for the amount of check valves you get is decently priced. Sizing is correct as stating in description. Being plastic should last for sometime the last aluminum one I had degraded overtime if anything changes, I shall keep this review updated.

These are flex diaphram type valves, as opposed to spring-loaded plunger type (that have a taller body style). These have very low cracking pressure to open, due to no spring tension to overcome. They do require a bit of back pressure to seal though, since no spring exists. I used one (after an added filter) in my furnace condensate pump hose, since the built in pump valve kept sticking open from sludge, causing quick cycling.Hopefully, the acidic condensate won't harm the valve.

I used these to replace the one-way flow valves in both my and my wife's SleepMe Chilipads. These look and function identically. These valves fail pretty regularly, the same as the valves did that came in the units from the factory. I am not sure how long these are supposed to last, but I find I need to replace them about every three months or so, because something happens and the water is allowed to flow back down into the system. These are pretty cheap, and it is pretty easy to change the part in my application, so I am not going to knock them too much. Four stars because I wish they lasted six months instead of three months between failures.

Good product and price

100% failure for each one tried in my diesel truck. They worked fine until exposed to the diesel fluid, swelled up and blocked flow. They would not break free to flow and that would have burned my Lift Pump up in my truck. I would have been so irrate since that would have been hundreds of dollars in potential damage and subsequent repair. The Vendor bears total responsibility to have 100% quality control in place to insure the proper components are being installed and no substitutions are being made if something is cheaper to procure or produce. Many times there is "no second chance". Quality must be Job #1!
