Inexpensive way to disconnect speaker from poorly designed amp
I used this to disconnect the sub speaker from its amp to prevent a pop noise when the amp loses power. The receiver has a switched AC outlet on it (yes, it's old...) that I used as the trigger source for this relay. Works perfectly... No more pop noise from the speaker.

Perfect for use with a pellet stove !!!
I added a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) to my pellet stove for power outages. But it became obvious that with the power out, that the thermostat needed to also be shut off so the stove would stop dropping pellets and continue burning. This power relay was installed in series with just one of the thermostat leads so it would open circuit the thermostat when the ac power fails. It works perfectly for that !! So when the power fails, the thermostat circuit is opened and the pellet stove stops making heat, therefore shutting itself down in about 15 minutes. This keeps my home from filling with smoke. Which is seriously dangerous. This power relay is well built and priced right !!

Excellent AC Relay to Control DC or AC circuit
This little device, about the size of a pack of playing cards, has a 110V plug, which, when plugged into a standard electrical outlet, "senses" the electrical outlet power. If it should fail, the device turns On (or Off) (ie. a normally open and a normally closed) connection which can then turn on (or off) a DC or AC line. For example, if the power fails, a battery powered light would automatically come on.The device is small, nicely made, and works as advertised!

QUALITY PRODUCT, GOOD VALUE
This is a handy gadget. I needed it for an ac control circuit for a DC cooling fan. I like that its basically plug and play, wire it in where you need it and go. I did not want to mess around with making a circuit board with hook up terminals and then having to enclose it myself. The reset/off button is very convenient when you need to make changes to your design.

Alexa Fireplace Control
My fireplace switch just controls low voltage signal wires, like doorbell wires. Can’t install a Wemo switch there. So I used the fireplace blower circuit...installed the Wemo switch there and this relay plugged in the outlet under the fireplace. Removed original switch wiring and made jumpers running to the relay normally open contacts. Works great! Remember, this relay does not pass AC voltage through. The AC sensed at the relay only flips the switches on and off. The relay contacts are completely independent and free of sensing voltage. The N.O. and N.C. switches change state when AC voltage at the outlet is present or not. Great little Relay!

Handy and Versatile
These things are handy. My latest use - bought a $3 battery alarm clock, cut one of the battery wires and wired it through the normally open side of the relay. It stays plugged in beside my bed with the alarm set from 1 to 4 hours (depending). Why?We have a lot of power outages where I am, so when the power goes out, the clock starts. I now know exactly how long the power was out (so I know when it is time to get out the generator and plug the refrigerator into it), and the alarm will wake me up if it happens in the middle of the night. In the summer, the fridge comes up to 40 degrees fast, so I set the alarm to 2 hours, which is my cue to get power to it before I have any problems.

Perfect for gas fireplace automation
I combined this with a Gosund KS-602S to automate my built in gas fireplace and blower. The Gosund switch connected to the blower with no issues. However, the switch alone will not fully automate a gas fireplace; you need to have a relay that activates when power is supplied to the blower. On my fireplace, the relay needed to be one that was isolated from the trigger voltage. My blower box has a 2 outlet power box within the firebox. The Gosund switch controls both outlets; 1 is used for the blower and this Digital Loggers AC Power Control Relay is plugged into the other outlet. When power is applied, the relay is triggered which opens up the gas feed to the fireplace.Installation for this purpose is very easy. I have other Digital Logger products and have never had issues with them.

Versatile
I had originally bought this for an electrical project that, through no fault of this relay, had to be abandoned. However, I was able to use it immediately afterward for a very different project in which this relay made a 2-way wireless switch function as a 3-way. Very well made and compact. My only complaint is that the design doesn't allow for simple, immediate mounting.
