Works as advertised, just like old school lighting
These work as designed, nice and soft for the living room fan/lighting; you'd not even know they're LED when they're on, which is good for the living room area. We had tried some other LED's that were 60w and they were super bright (not even 5000 daylights) and they refused to dim (although the box said dimmable). These actually dim as expected.

TCP won't honor warranty -- they're directing me to Phillips. ??????
I'm updating my review -- a $12 bulb supposed to last 20 years failed in 8 months and now I'm being told that TCP isn't the manufacturers. Go to Phillips. What's up with that??????? If your name is on the bulkb(which TCP's name is on the bulb) and Amazon says warranty -- don't send me down warranty fairy tale lane.

Very Bright; Don't Dim Well
These are extremely bright. I bought them to put in the lights on the ceiling fan over our breakfast room table. They don't dim very much, not more than maybe 20% (as opposed to incandescent bulbs, which go from bright to nearly nonexistent light on my dimmer switch). Very expensive. I don't know that I would buy these again; since I only run the lights during our evening meal, probably an hour a day, the savings on electricity are not worth the very high price of these bulbs, and the lack of dimming is problematic.

These bulbs are perfect for our living room. I've had them for about a month now and couldn't be more happy. The produce a nice soft light.

Reducing my electric bill
Conserving electric and reducing my electric bill with these and many other LED bulbs in my house. There is black print on the white base of the LED bulb. My bulbs are installed base up in the chandeliers five frosted glass diffusers seven feet off the floor so one cannot see the spec's printed on the white base of the bulb. They give off a very bright yet soft white light. I would buy them again.
