Windmills and Wind Motors: How to Build and Run Them

Windmills
I would have like the book better if it had contained more detailed information about how to actually build a full size working windmill, but all in all it was a good book, and well worth the price I paid. I think it's really good to have books that were written many years ago available today. The knowledge contained in them, while not applicable to everyone, should not be lost.

Dated, with decent overview
The book is a bit old but has some useful information. For the price it a decent book. If you want current\detailed information try another book.

Worthless, out of date
The copyright date is 2012, but the graphics are out of the 50's. The information covers the development of wind machines in Europe from the middle ages to the 1950's. I was hoping for practical information on the design and construction of wind generators, not toys. There is a substantial amount t of information on the construction of home-brewed wind generators from the off-grid community dating from the 70's and 80's. This book does not even recognize these advancements. The book is worthless unless you are looking for a reference for a High School Science Fair project.

'Originally Published in 1910' - Historic interest only.
May be interesting from a historic point of view, but its not very usefull in modern terms. Claims a publish date of 1999, so I was expecting something more modern. However, the book was originally published in 1910 and thats the era of its information. I regret buying it now, but it was my own fault for not paying enough attention. It does say 'Originally Published in 1910' on the front cover which can be seen in the picture.

A brilliant book and such foresight to write it in 1905 ...
Just what I wanted! A brilliant book and such foresight to write it in 1905 and with today's search for renewable power, this book should still sell well.

Wind mills
Great historical content, not what I was looking for. Wind turbines and power production do not live here.
