Great part needs TLC, then perfect(read comment)
Was hesitant at first because some reviews claimed the switch lever post had to be ground down to get shift lever to fit. One guy claimed 30 min of filing was required. I took a very small jewelers file and lighly dressed the flats on the end of shaft for about 90 seconds total, just enough to remove burs and flash. Lever bracket slipped right on. Switch arrived WAAAAY TOO tight to shift. Backed off center nut too far at first (electrical contacts not making contact) ...then used WD-40 on the main shift that goes through middle of switch. Worked switch back and forth while incrementally retightening the center nut. I think it is now perfect. Ensure you tighten all connections well...(loose connections will cause high resistance and burn up the switch)

The shaft does not fit the linkage
The shaft of the unit does not fit the linkage attachment of the FNR handle linkage, it is to big and I have to use the old shaft of the bad FNR switch, this is the 4th unit I have installed with the same issue

The switch has a manufacturing defect that will not allow it to work properly.
The media could not be loaded. This switch has a manufacturing defect that will only allow the cart to run in Forward. The problem is the microswitch that is supposed to activate when the cart is in forward OR reverse is not activating in reverse. One reviewer posted that the problem is a defective micro switch. I tested it, and the switch itself is NOT bad (otherwise the switch would not activate in Forward)The problem is that, when in reverse mode, the switch will not activate because the groove in which the switch arm drops is not deep enough to allow the microswitch to activate (see video). This problem may be fixed by grinding out and making the groove for the reverse position deeper. However, for a brand new switch, this should not be required. I lost Hours adjusting and trying to make this switch work, thinking I had not installed or adjusted properly. However, clearly the switch is defective.I also bought this same switch from another seller and it had the SAME problem. Based on the other positive reviews, this model switch obviously worked at some time. Evidently this is a bad batch or the manufacturing process or tolerances changed. I will not risk buying this again.

Does what is says and is what it is.. Using for 72V conversion
If you make sure to align your switch properly there shouldn't be too much torque applied to twist the plastic plate to break. It's as thick as the original backplate but made of a poly something or another... I'm running 72V with a 600Amp Controller with 2 Gauge and Zero Heat! None -I like it and will be trying to replace the OEM components since that only lasted 24 years without issue ;)
