PEAKMETER PM6501 LCD Digital Instant-Read Thermometer Temperature Meter with Type K Thermocouple Sensor Probe

Water boils at 100C. Thermometer shows 99C. I would consider this very accurate.Very small and looks nice.

Works great so far, took forever to get it though, from china not US!!

Works pretty good however you will probably need a different probe. It's supposed to handle extremely high heat, but the rubber around probe melted on man at about 420 degrees Fahrenheit.

I’ve used this to measure temperatures on my 3D Printer. It’s completely inaccurate, way off by as much as 40°C at temps above 100°C. I’m shopping for a better one.

The meter that was delivered was a different brand [PeakMaster] than the picture.I understand that manufacturers sell similar products with different labels, buthaving a different name made it impossible to do a good product search.When turned on the meter did not work. When I checked the battery compartmentit was empty. The product description said that two AAA batteries were included, but therewere no batteries in the shipment. I went out and bought some batteries and installed them and themeter worked, but the temperature readings were too high. I have a calibrated data logger[costing 10X this meter] with several thermocouples and compared the readings between the two units.At room temperature the Peak Meter PM6501 consistently read 5 F higher than the other meter. Iswapped out several thermocouples and got the same temperature readings.The build quality is very good for a product that is relatively inexpensive, but I am disappointed thatthis product was not accurately described on the website. .

Dandy little device. Pleasantly supprised at how well it worked for such a low price. Have three other digital meters, and this one read within a degree or two of the rest. That black bump at the top left of the case is the reference junction for the plug of the thermocouple, very nice feature not usually seen on devices this inexpensive. Think I will buy another.

Works when it wants to most of time it says Err on the display screen when turned on, won't give a reading most of the time, shipped from China and took forever to receive. Abandoned product and bought a better quality product, don't waste your money

Esta cosa me marcó 47 °C dentro de un refrigerador. Claramente es el peor equipo disponible, hasta el instructivo tiene más valor que el aparato mismo, y sobra decir que ni siquiera así merece la pena.

Meter works good the probe is a joke I had to pay good money for a good probe

I like the design and the product but the only thing that is supposed to do is give the temperature and unfortunately there was a 4 to 6 difference in the reading with the real temperature, not good for my use.

My husband uses it for his job! It's exactly what he needed unfortunately after a week doesn't function properly.Get what you pay for!
