Mathcounts Chapter Competition Practice (Mathcounts Competition Practice Tests)

after my 6th grade daughter qualified for the state wide mathcount, I got her this book and she did one book chapter per week. She could do the studying on her own because the solutions to the problems are well explained and finished top of her team, #24/160 in the State.We also used Competition Math for Middle School Competition Math for Middle School for a longer period, but the math counts chapter competition was great for 'sharpening' before the competition.

A very challenging book for Mathcounts practice. Solutions are well explained and help the kids to understand the concepts better. However not for entry level kids, would recommend only for medium to advanced level kids.

Another outstanding book and math club resource by Dr. Chen!! Our club has been a big fan of his series of books. We bought the new book two weeks ago and have been working through the problems to prepare for AMC8, MATHCOUNTS, and other middle school math competitions. The problems are fun, stimulating, and the solutions are lucid and well-written!! Highly recommend to students and coaches!!

When I started keeping track I found 8 errors. I find this hard to reconcile with the fact that the author thanks no less than 21 people who reviewed the manuscript.
