Best Keyboard Yet
I've only had it for a couple of days but so far it is far and away the best mechanical keyboard I've had, and this is now my third. My previous one was a Corsair K70 RGB Pro which I bought nearly 3 years ago, and whilst it was pretty good I don't think it's on a par with this HyperX model. My biggest gripe with the Corsair was the sturdiness of the stems on the inside of the keycaps. Within a few months they broke on both of the CTRL keys, half of the stems just breaking away. I managed to glue them back onto the switches but they were never quite the same again. I'm not exactly a touch typist but neither am I excessively heavy-handed, so that was a real disappointment.Anyway, back to this HyperX keyboard. The red switches are just perfect for what I want - a nice click to them without being loud and disturbing my wife when she's still asleep in the bedroom next to my home office. The pudding caps too are excellent, and really let the lights shine through. I like both of the built-in colour schemes - a breathing cycle though all the colours and the rainbow effect washing across the keyboard. And yes, they are very bright! But there are 4 levels of intensity to choose from, and I am currently using the two brightest settings during the daytime but toning them down at night. I haven't tried the software yet to customize it and, in all honesty, probably never will; I am more than satisfied with the built in themes. The overall build is superb and the whole keyboard is truly solid and stable. I have a large but thin gel pillow on my desk, held in place with blobs of Blu-tak, and the keyboard sits on top of that with its two legs extended, and which also serves to further suppress the noise of the keystrokes. With other keyboards I have had to Blu-tack them in turn to the pillow as they still had a tendency to move around - even the Corsair which was also a good, solid keyboard - but this HyperX is rock solid without having to resort to further use of Blu-tak. And this in turn will make it much easier to turn it upside down and shake out all the dust and debris that inevitably accumulates. So overall I have already found that this is the perfect keyboard for my requirements. I am not a gamer in any way, shape or form, and only want a keyboard that gives me a pleasurable typing experience, is reasonably quiet and is good to look at and work with at night without having to turn the room lights on. £120 is not cheap, but compare it to the £160 that I paid for the Corsair K70 three years ago and this HyperX is also great value for money. I'm hoping that this proves to be the last keyboard I will ever have to buy - it certainly feels as if it is built to last - and that makes it even better value.

Sturdy Keyboard with Satisfying Clicks
I finally decided to invest in a descent keyboard and I am so glad I bought this. Its very sturdy but quite large and heavy even for a full size keyboard. The light bar is incredibly bright and vibrant and the customization options are great. The pudding caps feel nice and you still get a satisfying click with every tap.The media controls work well and I use them a lot more than I thought I would when I purchased the keyboard. All in all a great keyboard with handy extra controls.
