Keeps the rabbits away
The product works although I feel it's a little over priced

Use a flat blade scewdriver - no problemo
I just installed my six-pack on 5 trees and am about to give them a test drive as I fire up my Stihl weed whacker for the first time this season. But I already know they're going to work great. They are a little shorter and narrower than I thought they would be. The height won't be a problem -- you weed whack at ground level and they are plenty tall to protect against getting too close with the trim string. Moreover, part of the appeal of the design is that they are inconspicuous -- you don't want them to be 4' tall. The narrowness means I had to join two together to get around a couple of young trees that have thicker trunks. No big deal -- the slot and clip design makes joinder easy.Regarding others' comments that the tabs are tough to get into the slots -- yes and no. If you are trying to do them with only brute finger strength, yes, it will take a couple of minutes and some finess. But with a flat blade screwdriver applied to the back points of the tabs they go in easily. More important, they are not going to come OUT easy. I disagree that the slightly tough insertion is a design defect; it's a feature and function of the material. The plastic is hard -- designed to stand up to a string trimmer smoking along at 1000 RPM, or whatever they clock out at. The material needs to be hard to withstand that. Plus, I plan to leave them on over the winter, and we have 60 mph winds here in Boulder. The tabs will keep them from sailing east into my neighbor's yard. So yes, you need to take a few seconds with a flat blade to push the tabs through the slots, but this is a First World problem.I do agree with the comment that in a less breezy climate you could probably skip the tab-slot process altogether unless you need to join two to accommodate a larger trunk. They really are tightly wound. If you have a 1" trunk, you can skip that step until the trunk gets larger. All in all, just what I needed and at the right price. Time to go test them out.

I love these
I have been buying these for a few years now. I keep buying more, as I add more trees to my orchard. Easy to use and quite durable. My oldest ones that I ordered in 2016, still look great and have held up well.

Easy install
Arrived ready to use. Easily goes on to trunk and allows for using multiple for larger trunks. Prevents the cutting of tree trunk with lawn tools. I use on 4 fruit trees and recommend you trying them.

What a great find!
This tree guard was the least expensive I could find yet I can't imagine any better than this one! They are sturdy and are made of a high quality. material. They were very easy to put on. I couldn't get them locked but I didn't try very hard and they don't need to be really. I have small trees so it wrapped around my trees one and a half times, without touching the tree. I highly recommend these. The only reason you would even need a different kind is if you didn't like the color. This is definitely going to save my trees from my lawn guy using the weed wacker to close.

They’re a Little Short
These were shorter than I expected (though granted I didn’t check product measurements before I ordered). I ended up stacking two on top of each other to keep the rabbits off my baby tree’s trunks.

Protects our smaller tree
I got these because the big bucks come ever year into our front yard and scrape their giant antlers on the poor tree. After putting these on the trunk and shining a light, they haven't returned in the last couple months. Hopefully, they will protect the trunk next fall.

the tabs for joining them work poorly
I have used these for many years not having found better ones. These work well enough compared to others that I have tried but they are far from perfect. The tabs are a pain to insert and tend to come undone over time. I found it necessary to use wire or cable ties.
