Please Do Not Block The Driveway Sign, 10" x 14" 0.40 Aluminum, Fade Resistance, Indoor/Outdoor Use, USA MADE By My Sign Center Green and White

I am very pleased with this sign as it is sturdy and gets the message across. Since I have mischievous neighbors, I had to get creative with the installation as these sort of signs have been stolen from me before. I mounted it on a wooden fence, but I added extra 2"x4"s horizontally on the back side for extra support. I used metal angle braces to screw these pieces into the vertical 4"x4" posts. Next I drilled 2 extra holes in the middle of this sign along the edge so I could bolt it in 6 places instead of 4. It is made from aluminum and drilling through it is not a big deal. Next I used a very strong construction adhesive (the kind sold in caulk-shaped containers) to glue it to the wood fence. Then I used bolts, washers and nylon lock nuts to fasten the sign to one of the original 2"x4" horizontal frame supports as well as the additional ones I had added in the appropriate places where the signs holes would align. This way a sabateur would have a harder time removing it from the thicker bracing as opposed to just the 3/4" thick fence boards. As a finishing touch I used a ball peen hammer to "rivet" the ends of the bolts after the lock nuts were in place. This way, the nuts cannot be easily removed.

It works and it's holding up in the weather. [Edit: looks brand new after 1.5 years outside.] Corner holes make it easy to zip tie to a fence. No one blocks our driveway any more. People used to park across our driveway for hours or overnight. It always took 1-2 hours for the police to respond with a tow so we could exit our driveway. We live in an area with somewhat tight parking on evenings and weekends. You think folks would appreciate the fact we're squeezing into our little driveway off the street. But No. This sign is a gentle reminder, and an alternative to a more strongly worded message "DO NOT BLOCK THE EFFING DRIVEWAY, YOU INCONSIDERATE MORON" which is what I would be inclined to post. Thank goodness for civility, even if it's mass produced.

Good size. Good quality. I haven't had it long enough to say whether or not it will rust. I think I am going to coat mine with an outdoor grade sealer anyhow. I've had metal items fade and rust. This isn't hard to do, and it will prolong the life of most items. The four holes are useful in affixing the sign so it won't fly up and turn over when the wind blows. I have mine attached to a gate across the driveway (on the inside facing outward). I should have put it up years ago, but instead I was trying to be more neighborly than the illegal parkers. I recommend it if you have a parking issue. It is a polite sign.

We had some trouble with people occasionally parking in front of our rather short driveway heading into our under-house garage, so we need something to alert people that, yes, there is a driveway here. This fit the bill. It's size is just about right, although I wouldn't mind if it were just a tad larger, maybe another inch x 1/2-inch, would really make it perfect. The type though is quite visible, even at night, and so far, it's done its job rather nicely!

Suppliers are always pressing for quick reviews. This sign is made of aluminum and appears to be of good quality. But this sign has to survive the outdoors. I have placed it on my garage door which faces south. I won’t know for sure if it is a good sign until it endures a year in sunlight without fading.UPDATE: This sign has survived a whole year in the sun and shows no sign (no pun intended) of fading. In my opinion that makes this sign a very good buy.

Sign was exactly as described and arrived quickly. This current "Please do not block driveway" sign is a much nicer and classier way of saying what I'd LIKE to say to the inconsiderate jerks who block our driveway on a regular basis. It replaces my hand-painted one that didn't seem to carry the same weight (perhaps it was because it didn't say thank you, like this sign). Immediately upon installing, our *$%$#* neighbor started parking stupid in front of someone ELSE's driveway for a change. It was pure magic. Great Quality! I wish was that it would have a set of centered holes for attaching to a single post. Very bright and sturdy metal. Very reasonably priced. 5 star for sure, durable - just what I was looking for.

My neighbor complimented the sign saying it was very polite, but got the message across. It is easy to read and sturdy.
