Standard Motor Products PC243 Camshaft Sensor

I replaced the cam and crankshaft sensor and fixed my problem on my 2003 300m. It is however, easy to confuse the camshaft sensor with the crankshaft sensor.

I bought this for my 2000 300m to replace the crankshaft position sensor. It has been over 2 years now and it has had no issues.

I scanned our Chrysler Pacifica with a code reader. Code suggested that the cam position was at fault. Ordered this baby, slapped it on, and the car is running great again.

Lower cost than factory or other aftermarket parts found. Matches the original part exactly, however the original was damaged by an aftermarket flywheel that possibly was larger than stock installed by a shop under the last owner. Placed a 3mm spacer under the mounting flange to avoid contact, and it is working fine.

This is a CRANKSHAFT sensor, the part I wanted, but it only lasted 11 months !!!Part is Junk.

Unfortunately the part does not fit. The “check vehicle fit box” came up on this item and it said it would fit my car. The item was new but not compatible for my car. I’ve run into parts not fitting or incorrect before even from the big box part stores. The biggest problem I had was having to wait for a part that did not fit and then having to pay to have it return. Before you purchase this item check the direction of your current plug in. The picture shown at least for me was the exact item I received. I wish I had pulled the part and looked at it first. I could have saved time and money.
