I ruptured my Achilles tendon a few weeks ago and have been living in the "boot" ever since. The boot is higher than my walking shoes so I have been dealing with the uneven height while walking. It developed pain in one thigh and severe pain in my opposite hip from the height difference. I purchased this product and it certainly "evened up" my posture. I had to remove one of the pads for the correct height. It fits very snug on my walking shoe with no slippage at all. What wonderful relief after 5 weeks of hobbling along with an imbalance. I highly recommend this product if you will be living in a medical boot for an extended period of time. It was worth every penny I paid for it. I can't speak to the longevity of the product, but realistically, I only need it until I am out of the medical boot. I am pretty sure it will last several months, probably longer, and that is all I need.

This is a life saver(and knee and hip and back saver!)I recently started wearing a CROW boot, which basically is like wearing a platform shoe on one foot. My other shoe was a custom insert, and only works with a limited type of shoe. So this is a perfect solution!My show is a “hiking sneaker” so it is a bit more bulky than a regular sneaker, but this still fits well(I ordered true to my size). Immediately I could walk normally, and within 2 days, all of the knee and hip pain from uneven walking had gone away.After a few days of rigorous use(including lots of kneeling, crawling around, and such) it did start coming off, and needed readjustment, but I had likely stepped on the edge with my other foot, to dislodge it. With normal use, I’m sure it would have stayed in place.I don’t even notice it is there, and is very sturdy.

I Have had 2 different medical boots within last week [for a fractured bone in left foot]. after giving up on UVM medical orthopedic boot and receiving United Ortho boot yesterday from Amazon [GREAT*****] and using the Even Ups on both boots during past 7 days here is my a bit premature review.[I have NOT walked outside with United Ortho boot and Even Ups].I do not like to give any reviews on anything until some time has paced in usage [and I don't write many reviews for sake of time and energy]. I was urged by Amazon to write this review on Even Ups. So....Never had to use a product like this before. Even Ups is stable on non injured sneaker and well made. For me almost there to even exactly up leg lengths. Need just one more slim layer option [making it even more than 3 current options with 2 inserts] to make even more precise.I have been a long distance runner [Boston & NYC Marathons, half marathons and shorter races in the past].I have been seeing chiropractors for over 50 years [chronic back issues and do specific spinal target exercises, cross train, yoga, isometrics, etc.] , use an inversion table and been aware of my posture and leg length for decades [72 years young].This all makes me acutely aware of leg length and therefore my valid lifetime experience opinion.

When I suffered a distal fracture of the 5th metatarsal, I needed this to even me up with the walking boot because I walk a lot at work.The images show what the Evenup looks like after 75 miles of walking outdoors on unpaved roads, uneven terrain, and even a couple rainy, muddy days. It started wearing out after 50 miles, and at 70 miles, it was toast. I went an additional 5 miles just to make sure, and then finally bought a second one.It has not made me faster on my feet, but it has made every day much more comfortable. I feel like this product has saved me from getting fat again, and better than that, saved me from having to take time off work.

I was not planning even getting this when recommended by my doctor but after walking in my boot for just 3 hours I knew I was not going to be able to avoid it. Started to have hip pain and was just annoyed with sway walking I was doing. This even up is super easy to put on and also works with my Birkenstock sandal. Definitely recommend getting if you have to spend any amount of time in a walking boot.

I bought this after a random person suggested it. I had surgery on my Achilles tendon and my walking boot is substantially taller than my normal shoe hight. It works great to even out the difference. It isn't a perfect hight match, but it helps quite a bit. It is a little heavy, but nothing to complain about. Overall it does exactly what I needed it for.

Giving a 4-star review because I don’t think the size guide is accurate. My daughter is 13 years old and she wears a size 4 shoe, I almost ordered the XS (as per the sizing recommendations) but it wouldn’t be here for 10 days, so I decided to take a chance on the Small size and it’s actually a perfect fit! I’m so glad I didn’t size down. Something to consider when you need to shop for your kids, or yourself.
